"Hannah you have to get up, it's the first day of school!" someone screamed in my face. Slowly I opened my eyes. I was staring straight up in my mother's face. I jumped up and fell out of bed.

"Moooom, you can't scare me like that," I said in a small voice. I looked to where my mom was standing a minute before, but she wasn't there anymore. No, she was lying on my bed, tears streaming down her face of laughter.

"You should have seen your face," she cried out. I got up in a sitting position and chuckled. That is my mom ladies and gents. Not first asking her only daughter if she's alright, but laughing so loud that the whole house could hear.

My dad walked past and stuck his head in my room. "Why is she laughing now?" he asked me with a smile on his face while looking at my mom.

"Ohh she just enjoys seeing her daughter in pain." I answered.

"Hey! I do not like seeing you in pain, you are just hilarious to watch." my mom yelled back with a muffled voice.

I looked back over to my mom on the bed and saw that she had the pillow covering her face. Sometimes I really doubt that my family is sane.

My dad was looking from me to my mother and then shoke his head. “I can’t believe I have to live with two women like you both. Lucky for me your brother is normal.” he said in a defeated voice.

“Hey, that’s mean!” my mother said. She walked towards dad.

“Ah you know I love you Julie.” he said and gave her a peck on the lips. She blushed and looked back to me.

I was looking at them with a disgusted face.

“Not in my room you.. you salvia swapping people!” I yelled at them. I grabbed one of my pillows and threw it at them.

“We aren’t even in your room!” my dad yelled back while shielding himself behind my mother for the pillows that were flying at them.

“Still not cool.” I sighed when all my pillows were gone.

I love both of my parents, but sometimes they were just showing too much of how they loved each other. For example, one time we went with the whole family groceries shopping, and my brother and I went looking for the cereal. We thought it was a good idea to play hide and seek. My brother hid and I went looking for him. I looked and looked but I still couldn’t find him. I was scared, because I also didn’t know where my parents were. I heard a lot of sound coming from the sugar department and got curious and went looking. I looked around the corner and saw my parents getting it on. May I add that I was 5 years old and scarred for life. I never let my parents alone again, afraid that my dad would eat my mom’s face.

I chuckled at my 5 year old self. Silly girl.

My mom and dad had gone away.

I looked at the clock.

Fuck! No way I only had half an hour left to get ready.

I got up fast and went to my closet. I took a bra and a matching pair of panties. I hurried to the bathroom and took off my pyjama and threw it in the laundry basket. I jumped under the shower. When I was done with everything, I got out, put on my fresh undergarments, and walked to my room.

What to wear. What to wear. I chanted in my head while walking through my closet.

I took out my favourite light blue boyfriend jeans and a baggy white blouse. I put them on together with simple black sandals. As accessories I put on my black leather Daniel Wellington watch. The outfit was simple but cute.

I went to my bathroom again and dried my hair. As for my face I didn’t have to do much. I almost have no acne which I was so thankful for. I curled my whimpers and put on some mascara. I was ready to go.
