[Prologue]

I'm falling.

The gem looked around. Where were they? It was something soft. I see something blue close by. It came closer, then it backed up again. I wanted to touch this big moving blue. Then I went closer. Was I moving? At first, I thought it was something else moving. It was all reddish orange.. I looked down, seeing that I am reddish orange. I decided to crawled closer toward the moving blue. 

And then I heard something. It sounded different from the other things I heard. It kept getting closer, so I looked for what was making the sound. I looked as much as I could for where the sound came from, and saw a tall slender thing moving towards me quickly. As the slender thing approached, a taller and wider thing followed. 

"Sensei, he's sentient!" 

Huh? Sentient? What does that mean? Is the slender thing talking about me-- Ah, am I flying? No, I was.. held. I'm held by the wider thing. The slender one kept talking as I was being held. I closed my eyes. What's happening?

I open my eyes once more. Am I laying down? Huh. I look around the area I am in. I then see that slender thing again. I move toward it and fall. The slender thing seemed to jolt "Woah! You're awake already? Ah, let me help you." The slender thing grabbed me and sat me on the thing I was on.

"I'm Jet. A doctor. A doctor is a gem who heals. Healing is to help you when you're hurt!" Jet said with a smile. I just blinked. So I call this.. gem, Jet? Well, Jet continued speaking! "You are Carnelian. A gem, too."

Carnelian. That's me? I am a gem? I looked down at my hands. That makes sense, I think. The wider thing then entered my vision, speaking to Jet. The wider thing then looked at Carnelian. That's me.

The wider thing spoke "I am Kongo-Sensei. Call me Sensei, please. Carnelian, it is time for school." Kongo-Sensei held out his hand to me. I didn't know what to do. Kongo-Sensei simply grabbed my own hand and made me stand up. He guided me out the room, since I don't know how to walk, really. Jet followed us, too. Where am I?
