Disclaimer, I own absolutely nothing! No characters or anything! Nada! This is a spiderman whump. Ok, so btw I know Spiderman doesn't have a physical weakness, but I had this really cool idea so deal with it. :P Also, in Case you hadn't noticed from the summary, Spiderman is an official member of the avengers. Okay, so now the boring stuff is out of the way, on with the story! I hope you enjoy!

Spiderman's point of view:

"How'd you sleep, Peter?" Steve asks me as I walk into the kitchen of the avengers tower. Quite frankly I slept like crap being in a new bed and all but I can't tell Captain America that, so I lie.

"I slept like a baby" I say casually. I don't think he believes me but I ignore him and sit at the table. Once I sit down, I take a moment to look at the other people in the room and I notice that they're all avengers in their civilian clothing. Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man, and Hawkeye are the only ones here. The others are probably on some really important mission about saving the world and all that junk. They get to do all the fun stuff. I silently sigh as I grab some bacon and pancakes and put them on my plate. The people at the table had stopped talking when I was greeted by Steve, but now they resumed their casual conversations. Yawning, my fork goes up to my mouth as I start to eat my breakfast. "So...how's your aunt?" Mr. Stark asks me out of the blue. I immediately drop my fork, making a clattering noise, and I give Tony a look that says 'I'm done with this, good grief man'. Clint snickers from somewhere on my left and I get ready to say something I know I'm going to regret. Thankfully, my police radio goes off. "...eport of a break in at a chemical plant in downtown. Doctor Octavious was spotted in that area, so I wouldn't be surprised if he has something to do wi..."  I shut the radio off and quickly get up from my seat, taking off my civilian clothes to reveal my new Spider-Man costume that Mr. Stark made me.

"I gotta go." I say plainly.

"We'll come with you," Clint says as he and the rest of the group in the room start to stand up.

I look at them, sort of hurt, and say, "You guys do know that I'm not some weak clueless rookie. I know what I'm doing."

"We know. There's just nothing better to do. It's been pretty quiet lately, ya know." Black widow replies simply. I look at them, a little uncertain, then say a quick, "fine." We soon arrive at the building via one of Mr.Starks personal planes. Once inside, we're welcomed by a chemical room that's completely trashed.

Steve takes a look around the room then says, "The rooms a mess, but there doesn't seem to be any chemicals missing."

"America's right. I did a inventory scan and I can confirm that there's nothing missing." Mr.Stark replies.

That's odd. Why else would Dock Ock possibly be here? We continue walking throughout the building in search for Doctor Octavious who, according to the police, hasn't left the premises yet. I mean, according to my other adventures with Doc Ock, he probably escaped from a hole in the floor that he created with his freakish spaghetti arms. But, I suppose it never hurts to look. We finally walk into the last room but there's no sign that Doc Ock has escaped. "That must mean that Doc Ock is...Agghhhhh!" I'm suddenly cut off when a searing pain spreads throughout my entire my body. I grab my stomach in pain and feel my legs giving out from under me. Mr.Stark thankfully manages to catch me before I hit the ground. He lifts one of my arms over his shoulder and places his free hand behind my back to support me. Another hiss expressing my discomfort escapes my mouth. I feel the strength leaving my body and find myself relying on Mr.Stark to keep me standing. "Hey kid! What's wrong? Are you alright?" I hear Clint ask me. I just shake my head no because I'm unable to speak as the pain gets worse. A small whimper escapes my mouth as yet another surge of pain hits me, this time worse and I crouch on the floor in a voice cracking scream. Stark follows me to the floor and looks around cautiously, saying, "There's nothing here...I don't suppose you have a weakness? Uh...perhaps something that hinders your powers?"

My voice breaks, but I manage to speak this time. "N-not that I know of."

The avengers look at me with concern and confusion, some of them kneeling to see if I'm alright. I simply close my eyes to try to deal with the pain. However, my eyes suddenly snap open when the pain abruptly increases even more. I quickly find myself rolling on the floor and writhing in pain. At the sound of metallic clanking, I manage to look up from my place of discomfort on the floor. Through my sweat covered eyes, I manage to see Doc Ock crawling in with his dramatic evil entrance as all villains do. And, much to my and the avenger's surprise, Loki walks in as well."If any of you even try to fight back, I'll kill him." Doc says. Before the avengers can react, Loki extends his hand to push all the avengers against a wall. I see electronic rings suddenly emerge from the ground and entrap my companions. Doc Ock grins and stalks up to me with his long metal arms; He admires a long thin glass container full of weird looking spiders. I look on, sweating profusely and writhing in agony. He then looks at me with that signature face that all villains have as I lay in pain on the floor. With a sudden change of emotion, Doc quickly jerks the container in my face with a violent shake. My throat tightens and I seem to lose my ability to breathe. And just when I thought the pain couldn't be any more unbearable, it somehow manages to be. "arnghh" I cry quietly, my voice cracking. The agony was just getting worse and the longer I endured it the worse it got. Doc Ock waves the thin container closer in my face and I would've yelled but it just comes out as a strained choke. My throat swells even more and my face grows purple from lack of oxygen. I gasp, desperately trying to breathe, but to almost no avail. I open my mouth to let out another pained choke and continue grasping my stomach, wishing for the pain to stop. Blackness starts swarming my vision. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I see Loki stalk up to Octavious. "We don't want him dead, Octavious." Loki says in his sly voice. Ock sighs and pulls back the thin container that had just become the bane of my existence. I gasp weakly when my throat is ever so slightly released, desperately grabbing at oxygen. Loki looks at me with a cruel smile then speaks. " We will kill him eventually though. Just not yet." I'm too busy trying to breathe to care about Loki's promise. My chest heaves as I breath heavily, finally getting some proper oxygen in me. I once again become aware of my terrible pain. Darkness begins to envelop me and the last thing I manage to see through the sweat and tears is the avengers, fighting desperately to be released from their captivity. They fight with anger and obvious concern for me. Mr. Stark fights the most, punching the forcefield and calling my name out. He stops fighting momentarily as I make eye contact with him, everything almost too blurry to see him. I'm tired of the pain and my eyes grow heavy. Then, too exhausted and incapable of bearing the pain, I'm pulled into the dark world of unconsciousness.

Mwaaaahahahahahaaaaaa! The best cliff hanger ever! I'm soooo evil! Mwaaaahahahahahaaaaaa!...ahem...where was I...Ah yes, my story! Sooooo...I hope you like it. Please leave comments. Tell me if you like it or if you think I need any improvement. I hope you liked my weakness idea ( which will be better described and clarified in the next chapter) despite the fact that Spider-Man doesn't have a physical weakness. Sorry this chapter is so short. I sorta wanted to leave it at a cliffhanger and this seemed like a good spot to do it. I'll probably update in a couple of weeks because I already have the next chapter done. I hope you enjoyed the story and thanks for reading! Byeeee!
