Agreement

We had an agreement 

To be friends till the end

No where in our contract

DId we specify the end

I was heartbroken when the end came too soon

I sat there and cried until I felt I was doomed

We had an agreement

It came to it's end

No where in the contract

Did we specify the end

It had been a year when I thought of you again

I wrote up a message which would never send

We had an agreement

I wanted it to never end

No where in the contract

Did we specify the end

After tossing and turning and thinking of amends

I sent you the message I thought would never send

You quickly replied

There was no true end

No where in the contract 

Could there ever be an end
