let me go

"Good morning, love"
Mayank wished Chhaya as he pulls the curtains which caused the sun rays to shine on her face.
She gets up gracefully and a smile appeared on her face seeing her husband with a cup of black tea in his hand.
"I should go downstairs and help mumma with the breakfast"she said.
"Not going to clinic? He asked.

"A good daughter-in-law spends time with her family" she remarked

"You can do that in evening...no?
There will be patients waiting for their goddess"he said in a teasing way.

"writers like you love to exaggerate things no? I am just a dentist!" she declared.
"Ok miss dentist... Get back to work now... Go to clinic and I'll see you in the evening." He placed a kiss on her forehead.

Chhaya was driving back to home.
"I am already late and there will be much traffic for sure,let me take the flyover instead"

"How the driver can be so irresponsible papa...and who the hell told her to come from flyover" Mayank sobbed with anger.
"Calm down beta,noone can get our Chhaya back to us now.

This incident made a huge impact on Mayank. He just couldn't move on from the fact that the dreams they saw together, will be nothing more than dreams. His passion for his beloved grew so much that he started to make her presence around him. His mind keeps rewinding the moments they spent together. Being left the job, he started writing stories about them. His nights only witnessed her dreams. Slowly he started dying everyday in her reverie.

"Ye kya halat bana li hai apni, be practical mayank... Try to move on beta"
"Papa please,aap dono kyu nahi samjhte, I promised her to a forever, didn't mention being her alive or not... please leave me on my condition"

Seeing all this, how can Chhaya let him be.
Laying down beside him, she caressed his hair as she used to do. In his deep slumber, he felt the very warmth of her existence and her refined redolence around.The moonlight falls casted a spell on them as the very night witnessed their reunion.
Wretched to know what her death caused him, She cursed herself. Never thought that fate will take them here.

A known voice came to him from somewhere.
"Mayank i have always loved you and wanted the best for you. Don't suffer with this life please.Let me go, let my thoughts go and start again. Bring back the dedicated and diligent Mayank...for our family, for us! Your love and success will always make me happy where ever i go"
She left with a gust turning the hourglass,placed on the table, up side down.

There was a knock on the door.His mother brought his bed tea.
He seeped and sensed a freshness in it.

"Mayank,take care and good luck"
His parents cheered as he left for the interview.
