Chapter Two: Introduction

As he arrived to the organization he felt incredibly nervous. He really thought he could never make it. Taking steady strides forward, he sees a man in a neat suit.

"You must be Arthur, the director's son." He says. "My name is Jack Fallon. I'm the boss of the group. Call me Jack, though."

"Y-yeah I am Arthur Flannery. It's nice to finally meet you, Jack." Arthur smiles at him and shakes the boss' offered hand. Together they walk towards the mansion, it's purpose only for show. The real base is stationed underground for ultimate safety. The entrance slips open automatically as the boss walks in. "Ah," He pauses as a thought passed his mind. "If anything goes wrong or if you somehow encounter problems, feel free to come to me." Arthur nods with a polite smile.

He hopes everything goes fine. Once he goes in, however, he marvels at the sight he sees. A perfect line up of the boss and his mates. Three guys on one side and three girls at the other, with Jack at the center.

'Wow.'

One of the guys comes forward and takes Arthurs hand in for a handshake. "Hey, my name's Kyle Meyer. You must be the director's son. It's a pleasure to meet you!" He ends his greeting with a big smile. Yachiru follows and drags Yuno with her, smiling and shakes hands with Arthur as well.

"Finally," She giggles. "a guy." She smirks a little and Arthur thinks he probably should avoid this girl at all costs, just in case. Yuno bows and says a quiet "Konnichiwa."

Alfred comes next and shakes his hand. "It's nice to meet you. At least the new recruit isn't a girl, 'cause there might be-" He clears his throat, lowering his voice as his eyes trail to Yuno. "trouble."

Arthur sweat drops a little at this information, then jumps as he feels hands on his shoulders. He realizes it's his father. "Oh hey, dad. It's nice seeing you again." Director Collin laughs in reply. "Been a while, isn't it."

He steps back from his son and glances at the group. "I see you already met them. Have you learned all their names yet?" Arthur laughs nervously and shakes his head.

"Kyle, I want you to introduce your gang to him. Tell him everything except code E." Collin gives him a knowing look. Kyle nods at him. "Yes, sir. I understand."

Meanwhile, Yachiru mumbles, "Why does he get to tell the good stuff?"

Kyle ignores the other's snide comment and prepares to introduce the members. "Alright-"

"Hey, you're ignoring me."

"-let me introduce you to her-" He points at Yuno.

"Hey! " Yachiru glares at him. Still ignored.

"-her name is Yuno Himura. She's Japanese and her specialty is martial arts-"

She groans seeing as it does no effect. "Why even bother."

"-and she's good with fans as weapons." He gestures to Alfred next. "This is Alfred Darnell. He's good at collecting intel in the underworld." Arthur's mouth forms an 'o' and soundlessly says 'wow.'

"That's Tiny. His real name is Ivan Courtenay. We call him Tiny, but as you can see he isn't actually tiny. I'd say he's really strong. Lastly-" Yachiru inhales and readies herself for her introduction.

"Me." Yachiru's jaw drops. "The name's Kyle, as you know. I'm an expert in computer technology and info-"

Yachiru pushes Kyle over and he goes out of balance, cutting his introduction off. "You are so rude!" She harrumphs. "Anyway, I'm Yachiru Blanche! My surname means white, I like teasing my friends, my specialty is fighting with dual blades, and I think we'd make good frie-"

Jack, who was on standby, had his eyes widen as Yachiru starts introducing herself that he knows is going at an awkward topic. He stands up and coughs loudly over Yachiru to get everyone's attentions (and to cut Yachiru off again.)

"I think we should keep Yachiru so nothing goes wrong." Ivan remarks. Alfred agrees and adds, "Yachiru, we have a bet to finish!" Said girl snickers and waves goodbye to Arthur.

"What bet? That sounds interesting! I hope Alfred wins." She hugs Alfred's arm and they all leave.

"Thank goodness she's gone. Now, how about I show you around and tell you the rules?"

The two walked through the hallway, only footsteps heard in the silence.

"So," Arthur testily starts. "What are the rules you were going to say?"

"Ah, well there aren't that many rules. Only three," Kyle stops walking and faces Arthur, holding up a finger. "One, wake up early for training or else you'll get punished."

Arthur cringes at the word 'punished', and Kyle continues with an added finger. "Two, don't break anything unless it's absolutely necessary," And with three fingers, "Lastly, do not go to the 6th underground floor. It's limited only to the director and the boss unless we are ordered to do business there, alright?" Arthur nods and Kyle responds with a contented smile. "Great."

In the next four hours of touring, Kyle eventually needed to leave to meet up with their group. He informs Arthur about it, but Arthur has a lingering question in his mind.

"This is my own room?" Kyle pauses and turns for the moment.

"No. Actually, myself, Tiny, Alfred, and you share this room. Your father told us so, because all the rooms in here are already in use." Kyle opens the door to the room and they enter.

"I see. I don't mind but I hope I ain't disturbing you guys- Whoa. It's-...It's a really big room..." Kyle smirks at his reaction. "No problem. It's not a big deal 'cause that's what friends are for..." Kyle looks at him with a serious face, but it shifts back into its usual cheerful expression. "We're friends right?" Arthur nods at him, clueless. "Yep, we're friends."

"By the way, since the guys sleep here, where are the girls at?"

"In another room across the hallway. Anyways, I have to go train with the gang now. Remember the rules, bro." And off he finally leaves.

Arthur sighs, not knowing what to do with himself. He stares at the room in silence, taking notice of his luggage near his supposed bed.

"..."

"Maybe a shower can work."
