One thing in common

It's Sunday morning and the sun woke me up by peaking through my curtains. Calum was at the end of the bed, he always sleeps down there. I don't think either of us knows why. I hear footsteps coming down the hall, but I was surprised when Harry opened my door with flowers. Harry was surprised when he saw the lanky boy hanging off my bed.

"What the hell? I thought today was our day. Why is he here?" he shouted, the smile he had before fading.  Calum lifted his head, startled by the sudden noise. Once he realized who was causing it, he groaned, sitting up and putting his shoes on.

"See you, Lun." he mumbled, making sure to bump Harry's shoulder on the way out. Harry rolled his eyes and handed me the flowers.

"It was late when we got home and I told Calum to stay, it's no big deal. It's not like he's never stayed here before," I said getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom, "And thanks for the flowers." I said kissing his cheek. He followed me into the bathroom, his mood unchanged.

"I don't like that he was in the same bed with you, Luna." Harry grumbled. He watched me as I started brushing my teeth. He was still frowning, "Okay, fine if it bothers you so bad, I'll make him sleep on the couch. But I'm not going to make him drive home in the middle of the night when he's barely sober. He's my best friend and I'm sorry you have a problem with him, Harry." I said when I was done.

I understand why he doesn't like me sleeping in the same bed with a boy, but it's Calum so he shouldn't be worried about it. I've been sleeping in the same bed as Calum for years.

Harry took me out to eat, and we returned home just to watch some movies. I dozed off to sleep on the couch, but I woke up to loud voices. I followed them into the kitchen where Calum and Harry stood, rather closely.

"Look you already woke her up, asshole." Calum says gesturing to me standing in the doorway. Harry turned around, his face red,

"Why are you yelling at each other in my kitchen? I can't do anything without you always being neck and neck. This isn't a competition, I don't know why you're always acting like children." I almost raised my voice. I've been dealing with this mess for too long, it's getting exhausting.

"Babe, come on. He started it." Harry said reaching for my hands. I pulled away, "Don't do that! Go home, Harry. I find it hard to believe Calum started it, when you're the one with the issue. Call me later when you're done being dramatic." I said stomping upstairs into my room, and slamming the door.

I heard Harry say a few more words and then leave. Not long after I heard Calum trotting up the stairs and knocking on my door. He came in and sat next to me on the bed.

"I'm sorry. I just came over to get my wallet and he started screaming at me. I told him to quiet down, but I just let him get it out." he said looking at his lap. I groaned and plopped down on my stomach. I felt his fingers start to run up and down my back, causing chills to spread. He chuckled, but kept doing it.

"Hey, your hands and my spare time are a good thing, huh?"

Calum and I went to the spot. It was just before dark, so the sun was setting.

"Do you remember that time I kissed you up here?" Calum said glancing at me. I wasn't expecting him to bring that up out of nowhere.

"Oh yeah, how could I forget?" I giggled, reminiscing that night. It wasn't awkward, it was nice. It just felt a little weird, and I started talking to Harry soon after.

"It's a shame we never did that again. It wasn't too bad." he said smirking at me. I could feel my cheeks heat up. Calum and I haven't talked about this or anything like it. I think it made me nervous, or at least my heart rate says so.

"Hey, you and Harry have got one thing in common," I said trying not to laugh, "This tongue of mine." Calum shook his head, telling me how I ruined the moment.

We were on our way back, minutes before Calum dropped me off. The topic of conversation seemed to be sex and who we would do it with. "So you're telling me that you and Harry haven't?" he asked surprised.

"Nope." I said, looking out the window. "If it wasn't weird, would you have sex with me?" he blurted out. I was taken aback by what he said, and I'm sure my face was red by now. Obviously, Calum is attractive with his dark complexion, long legs and tattoos. Obviously I've had a crush on him in previous years, but I've never thought of having sex with my best friend, Calum Hood.

"I don't know, Calum. I've got a boyfriend anyway." I avoided eye contact.

By the time we arrived at my house, I was still thinking about what Calum had said. I said goodbye, and went back inside to go on to bed.

I've got a boyfriend anyway.
