New Neighbors, New Members | Will Byers x Reader

Chapter 1

Will's POV~

I can't believe we moved. I didn't want to leave my best friends. Moving was harder than I thought, I had been crying for about an hour now. I was doing it silently so Jonathan wouldn't see. But he did. 

"Hey, it's ok, I know this is hard but it's for the best, and, I'm really gonna miss them too, I don't think I'll ever find as good of people as them." he said, but it only mad me sadder

"Why did all this have to happen, we should stay in Hawkins not move away" I said

"We moved because that town isn't safe and all it does is remind mom of the people she loved but lost" he said. It reminded me of how Hopper was always helping me through what I was going through and he helped my mom through it too. I really wish he was still alive. I kinda wish he became my dad, which I thought was gonna happen since I could tell he liked my mom. 

"What're you thinking about?" Jonathan asked

"Hopper" was all I said. He seemed to understand and didn't say anything. 

"Why's mom turning?" I asked, she turned into a fast food parking lot. 

"We're probably gonna get food. You hungry?" he asked

"Eh, not really, I don't feel like eating" I said

"Well try and eat something ok? You need to eat, your skinny enough" he said and we both laughed a little. 

"Ok, I'll try" I said

We got out of the car and walked in with my mom and El. Things were a little weird between El and I since we barely knew each other. And now we were siblings since my mom adopted her. El and I ordered our food first and found a table. I really didn't feel like eating, I kinda just stared at my food. El was eating and noticed I wasn't.

"Something wrong?" she asked. Ya a lot was wrong, why would she ask that? Ok slow down, she's being nice and asking if your ok. 

"Uh, ya I just don't really feel like eating" I said. She put her hand on mine and looked at me. 

"I understand" she said. Oh, I wasn't expecting that. She's sweet. I think she'll be a good sister. She grabbed a ketchup bottle and opened it and gave me a grin, wait what is she doing?! She pointed the bottle at me and squirted the ketchup all over my shirt, I tried to duck so she couldn't hit me but that only made it worse. She got it in my hair. She stopped and was laughing a lot and despite how I was mad she got ketchup all over me and my clothes are all packed away in the U haul it was pretty funny. We were both laughing really hard and she kept pointing at my hair and shirt. I had some on my face and licked it off with my tongue. We started to slow down our laughing and then my mom and Jonathan came up to the table and the looks on there face were priceless! Their faces made El and I start laughing again. 

After we finished eating, oh and I decided to eat, I tried to clean the ketchup off of my shirt and out of my hair. It didn't work. My hair was all sticky and wet and gross and it smelled. I looked in the mirror they had in the bathroom and I looked terrible. It was worth it though. We left and got in our vehicles and headed off to our new home. I was really gonna miss Hawkins and the people there.
