And if I say I really knew you well
What would your answer be
If you were here today
Ooh, here today

Well, knowing you
You'd probably laugh and say that we were worlds apart
If you were here today
Ooh, here today

His John, he loved him so goddamn much. Then that...that bastard murdered him. Paul sighed quietly, feeling so alone. It was the anniversary of the day he died. None of the other Beatles really liked Yoko, but he really hated her for stealing his man away. That witch. He's gone now, he loved him way more than she did. Ever.

But as for me, I still remember how it was before
And I am holding back the tears no more
Ooh, I love you, ooh

What about the time we met
Well, I suppose that you could say that we were playing hard to get
Didn't understand a thing, but we could always sing

Sean and Julian. His sons. They were so sweet, like him. But now they had no father, they were alone like Paul was. He gave an angry yell and drank some more. It hurt slightly less now.

John.

He wouldn't like seeing him like this. Paul shakily set the bottle down, biting his lip. His mind went back to the old days, when they were young and had so much fun, and the band was coming together. He missed them greatly.

What about the night we cried
Because there wasn't any reason left to keep it all inside
Never understood a word
But you were always there with a smile

Paul regretted them splitting up, he really did. It made him sad to see John just leave them the first time. He was sure he loved him too. "It's a drag," he had said. It was, but it was more than that. But to think he was the one to finally break it up.

Paul, looking up to the stars where his love was, finally let the tears fall.

And if I say I really loved you
And was glad you came along
When you were here today
Ooh, for you were in my song
Ooh, here today

I love you, John.

I love you too, Paul.
