A river flowed next to the spot where Sakri, Hakirai and Ashara built their den. Or, rather, cubbyhouse. The trio of vulpine centaurs were playful and mischievous, and had gone past the limits of where they can build their dens; they didn't care that they were likely going to be punished.
"Sakri, do you really think it was a good idea to build the den right next to the river?" Ashara folded her arms, her black-tipped silver tail swishing along the rough floor. Sakri barely acknowledged the issues that could come with this placement, and continued scurrying around the area. "Mmhm." she mindlessly nodded, leaving Ashara to protest. "Well, I have a list of things that could be annoying about this den. For starters-" As she began her long list, short yet energetic red fox Hakirai interrupted her. "What's the worst that can happen, Ash?" An awkward smile formed on her face as she tried to convince the most mature fox in the trio that what they were doing had no flaws or downsides.
"Come on. Just give me respect, Haki." She sighed, rolling her orange eyes impatiently. "I was starting by saying that we're gonna constantly be taunted by those centaurs in the Free Space."
The other two couldn't protest against this, as just the other day they had a long rant about how annoying it was that the Free Space even exists. "That's fair. Over there in the Free Space ANY animal can interact with ANY OTHER ANIMAL. How strict are the rules over here?" Sakri, a dark-skinned, blonde-haired fennectaur, escaped into a chattery vent as she spoke.
Then, a not-as-familiar voice entered the den. "You took the time to build this thing, may as well stay in it for a while."
"Ugh, fine." Ashara groaned. "Wait, who are you?"
