Chapter 1

Day 1, February 5, 2019

"Oh no no no no no!" Remy exclaimed as she clutched her rib. She was as confused as she was in pain. "Bakit??" Sarah asked, also confused. "You're Sarah G.! THE SARAH G.!" Remy exclaimed again. Sarah gave her a worried look. "Oo nga, ako nga. Bakit ba?" Sarah asked innocently. "Oh my gosh, I'm dizzy," Remy said as she held her head. Her whole world was spinning. "Remy," Sarah said as she crawled towards her. She could barely move with all the pain that was hitting her all at once now. "Wait, wait. Dyan ka lang saglit," Remy said as if she was afraid of her. "Remy, tinatakot mo naman ako nyan e," Sarah said nervously. "Ako pa ngayon?! You're freaking Sarah Geronimo! Oh my gosh. Is this a dream? Is this what heaven is like? Am I dead?" Remy asked, her heart was beating so fast. "Remy kung patay ka na at nasa heaven ka na, hindi ka na in pain. Wala ng pain and suffering doon. Tingnan mo nga yang itsura mo o, dugoan ka," Sarah reminded her. Remy cried and laughed at the same time. Sarah's eyebrows met. She's not sure whether Remy's injuries especially the huge cut on her forehead was making her act crazy. "Nag-woworry nako sayo nyan eh, okay ka lang ba talaga, Remy?" Sarah asked again. "I have no idea. I think I literally am going crazy. I probably lost so much blood that I'm only imagining my freaking idol for what, more than fifteen years? Is stuck with me on this island," Remy said. She still couldn't believe everything that was happening. "Remy," Sarah said. She doesn't know how to approach her. "You're Sarah Geronimo. Oh my gosh," Remy said as she cried. "Huy, ano ka ba? Bakit ka ba umiiyak? Sa pain ba yan o dahil ako ang kasama mo?" Sarah asked worriedly. "Both?" Remy answered truthfully. Her whole body was shaking both in pain and in shock. "Bakit ka naman maiiyak na ako kasama mo?" Sarah asked. "Ano ka ba, ate? Ikaw kaya ma-stuck sa island kasama si Ms. Reg nung hindi ka pa sikat. Tingnan natin kung di ka rin mangiyak ngiyak. Tapos parehas pa kayong injured," Remy said as she tried to control her breathing. Sarah tried to imagine what it would feel like to wake up on an island with her ultimate idol. She ended up getting the chills. Then she l immediately knew why Remy was acting the way she was acting. "Talaga? Idol moko?" Sarah asked, trying to ease the tension. Suddenly, Remy got all shy. "Tsk. Ate naman eh, ma-sastuck na lang ako sa island with you ganito pa itsura ko, buti na lang madilim na," Remy said. The two of them laughed and ended up clutching their ribs at the same time as pain radiated from it through their whole body. "Aray. Ayan. Remy seryoso. Hindi ko alam nasan tayo. Alam mo ba ano nangyari satin?" Sarah asked. "We got into a plane crash. Well, I did. I don't know about you," Remy answered. "Ay wala, binato lang din ako dito sa island na toh para may kasama ka. Syempre kasama din ako sa plane crash, ano ka ba?" Sarah said which made the two of them laugh again. Then they grimaced in pain again. "We got to stop making each other laugh. This is serious. Oh my gosh," Remy said as she started panicking again. "Huy ano ba," Sarah said. She was hesitant to go over to Remy after she told her not to come near her. "I'm freaking stuck with you on this island!" Remy said again. "Eh oo nga, ano ba? Kanina pa natin alam yun diba?" Sarah claimed. "Eh yun na nga! Si Sarah G. ka remember?! Ay the pressure!" Remy cried out loud. "Alin??" Sarah asked again. Talking to Remy made her confused. "Ang dami daming popsters sa buong mundo alam mo ba yun ate ha? Now I have to make sure you're taken care of or papatayin ako ng mga yun," Remy said worriedly. "Ang OA naman nito eh. Hindi ka nila aanohin. Basta, ako bahala sayo," Sarah said which made Remy look away as she bit her lip, trying not to show her idol just how giddy she made her feel after saying what she had just said to her. She couldn't stop smiling despite the pain. She felt like an idiot as she continued to smile.

"Ate, seryoso na. We need to find you something to drink," Remy said while she tried to get up. "Para din sayo, ano ka ba? Pero gabi na, hindi pa natin alam ano pasikot sikot sa gubat na meron tong islang toh. Pag-sikat na pag-sikat ng araw, saka na lang tayo mag-ikot. Kaya mo pa ba?" Sarah asked. She was nervous with how the island was going to be for the both of them especially at night. "Kaya pa naman, ate. Though I know I could use a drink, so I'm sure ganun ka din. Ikaw, kaya mo pa ba mag-antay 'til later?" Remy asked. "Oo kaya pa," Sarah answered. "I'll go look for a huge leaf you can sleep on. Dito lang sa may bukana ng forest. Dito ka na lang," Remy said. "Ayoko nga!" Sarah argued. She didn't want to be left alone. "Eh san ka matutulog? Sa sand? Gusto mo ipitin yang singit mo ng crab? Or kagatin ka ng kung ano dyan?! Masisi pako ng popsters at ni mommy Divine at daddy Delfin," Remy claimed. Sarah laughed a little. She was cautious now after learning the hard way that she can't just full-blown laugh. Although, the thought of her parents made her sad. "Sama na lang ako, yun ang ibig ko sabihin," Sarah said. "'Wag na, you're injured. Just rest," Remy said as she tried to steady herself up. Her head spinned as she forced herself to get up. She felt nauseous. "Ang nagsalita," Sarah said. Remy coughed a little which made her shut her eyes. "Remy, okay ka lang?" Sarah asked. This time, she crawled towards her. "Yeah, I'm fine," Remy answered. "I'll be back. Just wait here," Remy said. "Sasama nga ako eh. Ang kulit nito," Sarah said as she got up, too. She was in so much pain that she almost fell back on her knees after she stood up. She held on to Remy whose nose wrinkled as Sarah's added weight caused her even more pain. "Man, I wish I had my phone," Remy said. "Wala ka rin namang signal kung meron kang phone, plus d mo rin ma-chacharge," Sarah claimed. "Eh I don't care kung walang signal, basta makapagpa-picture ako with you. Post ko sa instagram, FB at Twitter ko pag na-rescue na tayo," Remy explained. "Na ganito itsura natin?? Naman, Remy. Antayin mo na lang na ma-rescue tayo at maka-ligo at makapag-ayos before tayo magpa-picture," Sarah said as she smiled while the two of them walked together. "Ayoko nga, sa tingin mo makakalapit pako sayo pagkatapos tayong ma-rescue? Baka nga 'who you?' nako sayo nyan eh. Tsaka mas mabuti yung ganito. Authentic. May proof na totoong na-stuck tayo sa island together," Remy said as she laughed a little. She was being cautious with her movements, too. "Ah ganun? Idol moko pero ang iniisip mo sakin mabilis makalimot? Na after ng lahat ng pinagdaanan natin dito, makakalimutan na lang kita ng ganun ganun lang?" Sarah asked. "Hindi ako ganun. Hindi ako basta basta nakakalimot lalo na pag may impression ng iniwan sakin yung tao," she said as she walked a couple of steps ahead of Remy. Remy bit her lip again. "Nakaka-kilig yun ate ha, 'wag kang ganyan. Ako pa naman, ay naku, patay si Matteo," Remy laughed a little. Sarah smiled a little, but she got quiet. "Ate, I'm sorry," Remy said when she realized she had mentioned Matteo, Sarah's boyfriend for a few years now. "Okay lang," Sarah said quietly.
