Chapter 1: The New ... Girl?

{This is my first story. It's completed so I will just post different parts as I feel ready to. I have to warn that there will be some lemons, fighting (duh), kidnapping, etc. so just keep that in mind as you read. I tried to stay as true to characters as I could so hopefully it isn't too cheesy for the beautiful audience.

Late again to class. It's the last day before team selection and I just had to be late again! I throw on my uniform and try to straighten it out as I jam a breakfast bar in my face. I quickly run my hands through my white hair to get out the major knots and quickly bind it in my usual leather strap, securing it at my scalp and wrapping it around my hair until it held the entire length and tying it at the end. I quickly step into my shoes and take off down the hall heading to my class.

Sensei is going to kill me for this! I think as I rush past fellow students. As a second-year student at the shinigami academy, I was quite the odd ball. I was rushed quickly into higher level classes and am finally taking classes with 4, 5, and 6-year students. Many of them dislike me because they think I am a teacher's pet or that I cheat in combat training; I'm not even trying! I have a few classmates that I will talk with but I tend to be quite the loner. I don't know why but even those that I talk to tend to keep their distance from me and no one will ever explain to me why.

I get to the classroom door and stop for a moment to catch my breath. I try to listen in to see if I missed anything important but heard mostly class chatter. I made it I think as I walk in the room. I calmly walk to my usual place in the back corner in line and await our sensei. I overhear conversations about how squads 3, 4, 7, and 11 are looking for new members to fill in their ranks. I look over at the boy next to me. "Hey Inagi, do you know anything about the different squads and who is looking for new members?". Inagi jumps a little at me saying his name and cleared his throat. "Well Buta said that squad 4 and 7 captains were here as well as the lieutenant of squad 3. I have heard rumors that squad 11's captain will show up at some point but I really hope not." "Why not Inagi?" He shivers a little and shakes his head. "That captain is supposed to be a total psycho. Ruthless, vulgar, and violent. I don't think anyone here would want to be in his squad." I shake my head and look up as our sensei walks in with 4 people following him, 3 of which are wearing a white uniform while the other is wearing all black with a placard on his shoulder. Obviously, the three in white were captains while the one in black was the lieutenant.

"Attention all students!" Fukuro Sensei says in his usual quiet tone that seems to make everyone become silent and stand in proper formation. "We have 4 high ranking officers from the Gotei 13 to observe your strengths and determine if you are worthy of joining their squad. Please remember, you do have the option of denying such a request" he says slowly eyeing the tallest Captain; "but this may hinder your chances of becoming a true soul reaper later on. Am I clear?" "Yes Sensei!" the class shouts like a group of robots. "Good. Now I will introduce our guests". He starts going down the line starting with the lieutenant of squad 3, Izuru Kira. He isn't that impressive looking and, from what I've heard, there were some issues with the captain of squad 3. Not interested. Next is Captain Retsu Unohana of squad 4; the healing squad. I mean my abilities are good but I can't heal anyone at all; pass. Captain Sajin Komamura of squad 7. He's huge overall but has a weird mask over his face, I wonder why. Finally, Kenpachi Zaraki of squad 11, the one Inagi said was supposed to be terrifying but he honestly just looked bored. "Ok, now each of our guests will walk around and ask you to complete different tasks in order to judge your skills and decide if you will fit in their squad."
