"What would you do if you know you'd never get caught?"

Start from the beginning

L: "Okay lang sir, I also thought na give chance to others. I've had my time."

D: "Okay lang ba talaga?"

I paused. I looked around me and I see the people around me look at me. I lowered my voice so that they could not hear our conversation.

L: "Sir,"

D: "Be honest with me."

I felt a bit teary-eyed but I hold it back.

D: "Wag ka mag-iyak Ma'am." He suddenly told me even though I know I still do not sound like I'm crying. I forced a smile.

L: "Okay lang ako sir," I tell him sincerly.

D: "Palagi nalang si Grace, ano Ma'am? Di niya alam sino binabangga niya."

I laughed to ease the tension in my heart. L: "Oo nga sir e, siguro ganon talaga ang role niya, manggulo, hehe,"

D: "Ginulo na niya tayo nung una, ngayon di na dapat tayo papayag, di ba ma'am?"

L: "Dapat, pero paano?"

D: "Do you trust me?"

I paused and looked around again. No one is looking at me anymore.

L: "I trust you," I tell him with a tinge of excitement and uneasiness.

D: "Run. Ako bahala sa'yo."

Nationalist People's Coalition Headquarters

I could not believe it.

I'm now in a holding room, alone, but I was told that PSG are already securing the perimeter.

I won.

Everything happened in a blur that in this rare moment of quietness, I'd like to think about it.

Leni ran as VP again, her platform centered on the continuation of her programs. Digong boldly endorsed her.

She ran without a President but she secured the second highest number of votes. Her loss is the talk of the town rather than Grace's win.

People are talking about me and her, that we're actually Digong's "dark horses" in the race. That Bongbong and Grace were just used as front but his support were rallied behind myself and Leni.

And as if by fate, the margin of Grace's win against Leni did not even reach a million votes. Her supporters urged her to file a protest case.

But she refused.

I felt a bit disappointed because deep in my heart, I want her to be my Vice President. At some point, I want her to file a case against someone who I asked to run with me.

I sighed. I do not know what to think about anymore. I closed my eyes and just wait for them to call me when my phone rang. (D: Digong; J: Jesse)

J: "Hello?"

D: "Mr. President."

J: "Mr. President, good morning. Di pa ako nagooath. Kamusta ka na?"

D: "The PSG is already with you. Eto, nagbabalot na, excited na akong umuwi sa amin e."

I laugh and envy him at the same time. J: "Congratulations sir. Buti ka pa may uuwian."
