I saw you for the first time
Didn't think anything of it
Just another guy
With whom I would spend my summer
I don't know how it happened
But the way I looked at you changed
You were more than a stranger
In my head more than a friend
When you looked at me
For the first time
We were sitting on a table
Barely even talked
But as time passed
And I got to know you better
You changed something in me
You caused a little spark
That was more than enough
To fall for you hard
Knowing that this wouldn't last
Unexpectedly breaking my own heart
Now that summer is almost over
And we will take our own paths
I feel like a failure
I wasted precious time
