Sometimes I Fall in lava but I have water bucket on me and I do not die. Or you can bring a water bucket because you could fall and die from Fall damage. Next after you get cobblestone get cobblestone tools because it could become nighttime soon for all I know it might already be night time and nighttime is when the monsters come out so try to build maybe an underground base just in case or you could build on top of a tree. In the morning your first priority should be to get food if you get enough food you can put it in a furnace to cook it. While your foods cooking go ahead and go into your mine and continue to mine for coal and iron because you should be able to get iron tools. when you find iron coal other stuff go back up to your base and start make getting wood from more trees. Now that you have stone tools you can use axe but you might have to get iron really quickly so you can use iron tools. After getting would you can create an iron pickaxe then your first priority should be to dig to Y level 12 or any level around 5 through 16 to find diamonds if you succeed and find diamonds you can create diamond tools.
