↳Dom was never close with his father, and hated how manipulative the man was. The man was very distant too, and although Dom didn't find out until later, had been cheating on his mother. He ultimately died when Dom was a young teen.

Backstory:
↳There isn't much Blaise likes to mention from his past. He was an only child, born into a household rife with control. His father liked to control the two of them, and to try and brainwash them both. Although he never laid a hand on either of them, the verbal abuse was enough to leave a lasting impact on them both, and it drove Blaise to be a better man. A strong man, someone who isn't pushed around. His asthma was pretty bad, and it kept him from doing a lot of things he wished he could do. It made him feel weak, and once it faded, he vowed never to be so weak again.

As he struggled into his teens, his father was killed in a drunk driving accident. He and his mother were uprooted from their home, and went to live in a tiny rundown apartment while the woman got back on her feet, and she even managed to put Dom through martial arts classes, as she knew he had wanted to as a kid, but his father wouldn't allow it. The teen excelled in fighting, so much so that he won competitions, and scared other kids with how competitive he was. Of course, this led to more hardship at their house, and Dom felt terrible.

As soon as he was old enough, he got a job- in truth an illegal job working for a local dealer- as a bodyguard. His mom just assumed they were all friends, and she was none the wiser. He told her he mowed lawns, and walked dogs as a cover. This turned into gang involvement when the gang got wind that he was a skilled fighter, and that was when he began to work for them. As time went on, the two were able to move somewhere better, and soon enough Dom's mother found love again. This time in a man who treated her gently. Dom approved of this, and so he moved out so that his mother could move in with her new love. He attended her wedding of course, and has kept in contact with her over time. During this time, Dom suffered a major head injury, and he now has been diagnosed with epilepsy as a result. His seizures have been very sporadic, and Dom often forgets about them until they happen.

Even now, he's pretty happy where he is in life, living on his own, owning a dog and beating people up for a living. He doesn't really think he could ever do anything else, and doesn't really want to.
