Where it all starts

"KALANDRIA", my mom yelled from downstairs. "GET UP AND GET READY FOR SCHOOL, I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL." I looked over to see my phone dead realizing that I overslept. I put it on the charger and got ready for school. I walk into the bathroom and do my normal routine and just throw something on because at this point I'm just there to prepare for this AP test and keep my grades up. no girls at my school catch my eye anyway and my girlfriend is in Texas so it's not like she can see me anyway. lani walks down the steps to be greeted by her mom. "Morning mommy"
"Girl you damn near grown , call me ma, mama, something like that"
"And you said you ain't want me to grow up" My mama is such a fool but she all I got so I keep the complaining to a minimal.

 I grab the food she made for breakfast and got into my car to head to school. I look at my phone for the first time this morning. All I see are missed calls and text from my girlfriend Keena. Don't get me wrong I love her but she's been acting really weird lately and her and her exes are a little to close for comfort. Don't get me wrong, I'm not jealous but she's a little too friendly. Here she goes calling me.
"Hey babe where have you been ?"
"My phone died I'm sorry Keena ."
"Oh ok I was ju—HEYYY ARI"
She there she goes with her ex in class. All she does is talk to her and forget I'm here. "Hey listen, it's the beginning of a new semester and I wanna get used to my new classes, I'll call you when I get out of school"
"Ok I lov—Ari stoppp"
"Yea you too," Lani said as she hung up the phone.
I just don't understand, am I not good enough for her? It's whatever I guess. I grab my bag and make my way to homeroom. My teacher gave me my schedule and I see it's basically the same except my 3A. My counselor put me in this class and I'm honestly not mad about it. I get to learn more about my culture so I can't complain. 

I go through my first two classes like any other day and then I make it to my 3A class and I see a lot of familiar faces including my math buddy Sarah. Just as I sit in my seat next to a few of my friends this cute girl walks in and she happens to sit next to Sarah. I don't know why but I couldn't stop looking at this girl. I mean I've seen her around the school but now just seeing her closer in person it's just something different about her. It doesn't really matter anyway I still have Keena and she's all I need I guess.  I just put in my airpods and try to get my thoughts off of this girl...

Well, this is the first chapter of my now third book. It's so hard to keep a storyline because my mind runs off so quickly but because this story is so close to home, I know how to write it and make the story interesting while keeping the storyline. I'll show pictures of the characters and the story goes along.
