for our first contest, the requirement is to write a short story or poem in any genre under 1500 words. because this is our first contest, we are going to keep the prompt pretty open. you can write anything as long as it relates to the environment. for example, you can craft a sci-fi story set in a future with a destroyed earth, a poem about a diver exploring dead coral reefs, or just about anything!
submissions are due on 28th July, and winners will be announced on 31st July. the judges will read every submission individually and score them accordingly. all contestants will receive feedback on their writing, so this is a great place to practice your skills.
