ALINA COURT HAS DONE IT AGAIN, PRODUCING FIVE SHUT OUT INNINGS AGAINST THE RAYS EARLIER TODAY AT TAMPA!
Today the Diamondbacks took a loss against the Rays with the final score six-eleven. The Diamondbacks started off in the first inning well, not giving up any home runs, but the second inning is when pitcher Taylor Clarke started to give up hits. Though the outfield held their ground, earning five outs over the first three innings from high pop balls, the score was starting to show an uncomfortable distance that Diamondbacks manager Torrey Lovullo didn't like.
Inning four, the score was brought up by Alina Court with a solo home run for her first at bats in Tampa. Her hit went four hundred-thirty-six feet deep into the stands at one hundred-two miles per hour. There is where it started to look up for the Diamondbacks. Court produced five perfect shut out innings where it was three up, three down, only foul balls hit. Sadly, the Diamondbacks were unable to score any more runs to bring them to victory.
With the trading season coming to a close and plenty of teams asking for Court, we don't know what to expect. The Phillies and Dodgers have both put offers out for the young woman, but the team that catches our attention the most is the New York Yankees who have offered a large sum of money for Court. We only know there has been talk of any deals, but there is no known way to which the Torey Dovullo leans and if he will give up the best pitcher in the league.
