"Don't worry, Wren. It is just a few cameras." Calum ran his hand down my arm. His calloused fingers caused a shiver to go through my body. A nervous laugh escaped my lips as a smile escaped his.

Guilt surged through my body. I felt weak allowing myself to bask in these unnerving thoughts. Calum spends everyday in front of thousands of cameras, the least I can do is say yes.

My thoughts were distracting, but his voice brought me back to reality. "I know we agreed to keep our relationship in the dark, but a lot has changed since then. I just.." He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close, "I just don't want to hide you anymore." He traced my lips, waiting to hear me chime in with an agreement.

"Have the other girls agreed?" I asked. The anxious feeling in my chest skyrocketed as Calum nodded. I had known they would. They have nothing to fear, they have all been very open with their relationships. Everyone knows who they love.

I allowed myself one last thought before I answered. 14 months of secrecy is enough. It is time to open up to the world- to Calum's world.

Reaching up to Calum, I wrapped my hands around his neck and leaned in."I will do the documentary with you. I don't want to hide anymore either." I found his lips as I sealed my new vow with a kiss.

I began to pull away and was greeted by his beaming face. "Thank you, baby. No more hiding." The words rolled of his tongue in a whisper as he let go of me and smiled before picking up his phone and walking out of the bedroom.

There had been a lot of whispers the last 14 months. I knew deep down our relationship, while unconfirmed, had been speculated on for months. There were photographs of us together, accounts made to support or hate us, and a number of fans commenting about a reveal.

The amount of pressure to open up had only made me want to close off more. I knew it isn't a fair response, but it was all that I had ever known. We decided to not post or tell many loved ones. We chose to confine our secrecy in each other.

Calum's world was unlike anything I had ever encountered before. He lived in a constant spotlight. It took time to get used to all that came with the fame that followed him. I have had 14 months of time and it still wasn't enough. It doesn't matter if you are prepared for all to come, you have to try for him.

Him. My muse. My happiness. The love of my life. Through all of the secret meetings, careful coverups, and late night phone calls from different time zones, I knew he was going to be the love of my life.

"I know, man! Let's do this thing!" Calum's voice rang through the house so loud that even Duke couldn't sleep. "I know it's going to be such an experience.." Calum's voice cut in and out as he walked through the loft with his phone to his ear.

"I bet he's talking to Ashton about the new documentary project. What do you bet, Duke?" Duke, our puppy, climbed onto my lap without providing me with an answer. "Yes, I know you agree." I said (mainly to myself) as Duke leaned into my arms.

Calum entered our bedroom and mouthed "AWE" before puckering his lip when he saw what he had missed.

I watched him cross our room and marveled at the man that chose to love me. I still found myself watching the way he moved, even off stage, he moved to his own beat. He had a presence like no other.
