Another cold and dark night for Nikkiah Fyodorovych in her foster home, sent to bed without dinner again sad, alone, and hungry in her room Nikkiah laid in bed softly weeping to herself "...I hate it here...I hate it so much...." She said to herself softly as she wiped her tears away. She then sat up looking at her bedroom door listening to the voice coming beyond the room door, she listened frightened on what might happen to her, her step brother Johnathan walked in a said to her "mama said to come down when you're ready". Nikkiah wiped her face and got out of bed and went down to eat, when she got to the table she sat down quietly waiting for her plate to be given to her, her step-mother walked into the dining room from the kitchen and handed Nikkiah her plate asking "What do you say little girl?", "th-thank you ma'am..." Nikkiah replied stuttering as she then began to say her grace gobbling down her food "This food Is great mama!" Johnathan said complimenting his mother's food eagerly, "Thank you baby" his mother replied thanking him. Nikkiah ate her food not saying a word until Johnathan nudged her arm asking, "hey little Nicki did you have a good day of school today?" Nikkiah shrugged telling him "I -it was okay I suppose I tried to get as much work done as possible...." She then ate more of her food then continued on saying "but...", "but what?, c'mon tell me Nicki" Johnathan told her giving her another nudge on the arm, "there's this one girl named Sarah good...she keeps picking on me and stuff...." Nikkiah told him biting her lip softly "She doesn't sound good to me!" Johnathan said banging on the table lightly, his mother then jumped in saying "JOHNATHAN!" Johnathan finished his food telling his mother "s- sorry mama but these girls always pick on little Nicki it isn't fair for her to have to go through that all the dam-, dang time!", "if she isn't doing jack shit about it then she wants it to happen hell! Bout time you stood up for your self-Girl!" step-mother continued on as Nikkiah finished her food while Johnathan picked up Nikkiah's plate taking it into the kitchen. Nikkiah hurried back upstairs to her room and got in bed thinking about what Johnathan and Mama said at that time she huffed saying "alright...I'm going to do it! I'm going to stand up to myself!"
