Profile: Artemis is the guardian and adviser to Sailor Venus.
He is slightly forgetful and lazy, but when Minako turns to him for advice or his charge finds herself in trouble, he pulls himself together and becomes more of an actual father figure. He constantly picks on Minako but oftentimes is seen comforting her or going out of his way to try and make her dreams come true.
Appearance: Artemis is a white, short-haired cat with a yellow crescent moon on his forehead.
Biography: Minako first meets Artemis while in a gymnastics class, where she accidentally lands on him, and he continued to observe her while she was at school. He finally introduced himself, much to her surprise, and told her she was a warrior. He gave her a crescent compact and it transported them to Venus, where he showed her Magellan Castle and that Minako has a mission to fight. Before he could say more, Minako fainted from shock from the news. Later, Artemis tried to warn Minako about the boy she had a crush on, and she saw the boy flirt with another girl, but really she saw the boy attack the girl, as a minion of the Dark Agency. Artemis throws Minako her transformation pen and gave her the command, allowing her to transform into Sailor V. After Minako killed the evil being, she was upset, and Artemis comforted her, accepting they were partners now and he would help train her for whatever challenges arrive in the future.
Development: Artemis was the Greek goddess of the moon and hunting, the twin sister of Apollo and the daughter of Zeus and Leto. She was known as Diana to the Romans.
Trivia: In the original proposal for a Sailor V Anime, there was a female character called Artemis.
