Hunter pulled a door open on the far wall of the factory. Inside was a slightly smaller room, which was furnished with lots of collected junk. I followed him over to a large table in the middle of the room. He pulled a chair out for me and waited for Amberly to sit. She seemed offended that he didn't offer her a seat, and that’s when it dawned on me, are they dating? I hope they're not because so far I think Hunter and I would go great together. "Go get the Mason and tell him she's here." Amberly stood up and did as Hunter told her, and now I’m doubting they are together. "Look," he says as he looks at me with concern. "This is always the hard part, but your going to have to believe what I tell you; even if it sounds impossible in every single way." I give him a slight nod, as I’m too afraid to even speak. "Right now, what your living in; isn't the only life you've lived. You see all this, everything you have done in this life is really just-" All of a sudden a door slams open, and another boy walks down from the second level. "Lets just hope you weren't about to tell her Hunter," Says the boy as he approaches the table. He has ash blonde hair and green eyes.
I look back up to the second floor, Amberly stands by the edge and climbs onto the edge of the arm of the stairs. She looks down and jumps landing on her feet. I gasp as I see her falling, thinking she is certain to die, but; just like before she lands without any injuries. "Gee Amberly could you freak her out anymore? Just stop being bloody stupid!" The boy yells at her as she dusts off her hands. She doesn't respond, she just rolls her eyes and takes a seat next to him. "My names Mason, I'm so sorry all of this must be a bit to take in." He reaches my hands and holds them in his; I don’t think anything of it until Hunter pushes him back. "Now lets not forget the real reason we're here, Mason; it seems as if you want to tell her?" Mason gives a cough "Right, well I think it’s easier for us to show you than explain." He stands up signaling the others to come. Amberly doesn't seem to agree though as she just sighs "Why are we all being so gentle with her? You weren't like this with me." She walks around and takes a seat next to me, the boys look back at her agitated "Ok," she says bluntly to me, "this whole life that you have been living ever since you were born is just dream. It doesn't mean you don’t have a life, but this is not your real life."
Hunter comes in and lifts her of her seat "That enough Amberly." He says trying to contain her from pushing him away. Mason calls me over and the other two follow. It can't be true, it’s impossible. I can't be living a dream, what about all the feelings I have felt? All the things I have touched, smelt, tasted and seen? My head begins to feel dizzy even thinking about it, but I still follow Mason out of the building and through a dark alleyway. "This is some joke right?" I say as I chuckle, "There's no way I can be living a dream." He turns his head at me to see my expression. "You don’t think you are because you can't control it." He says as he strides down the ally, "Your common sense tells you that if you jump off a building you will almost certainly die, but if you know that you are in control of your dream and that facts are not real then, you wont." I squint as I try and understand. Does he mean to say that If I try and kill myself and believe this is a dream I wont die? "No I don't mean that." He calls out to me. My eyes widen "How did you know what I was thinking?" I say as I half yell at him. He laughs at me and keeps walking. "Your not in control of your dream, so the people that are in control of there dreams can also be in control of yours." The way he said it made it sound so simple, but I just stare at him thinking he is crazy that he thinks I will just believe all of this.
We continue waking until we reach a tall building, which has metal steps reaching all the way to the top of the building. "Stay here, I'll show you how we do it." He glances back at me with a smile and races up the stairs. Amberley and Hunter follow him and I swear they are running to fast to be humanly possible, but they might just be fast runners. When they reach the top Mason calls out. "It takes time, but in the end you just have to know for sure that when you jump, your going to be completely fine." I stare above me as all three of them jump casually from the high building. Every time they jump, I feel as if I must be dreaming, and that's what they're try to make me believe. "If this is just a dream then how come I can't just wake myself up?" I say confused, "It's not that easy," says Amberly as she walks over to me, "It takes more than just a pinch to wake you up from another life, and you have to train yourself to be positive that you are dreaming." As Amberly talks I feel as if I can almost believe her, but reality pulls me back to earth as I realize what she is really talking about. Hunter must see that I am feeling dizzy about it all because he suddenly has an urge to get back to the factory. "We should be getting back, she's not gullible, so it wasn't as if she was going to trust us the very day she got here anyway." I feel a pang of guilt in my stomach again, was Hunter upset with me? I snap myself out of this thought when they all begin to walk away. I couldn't seriously have a crush on Hunter already, I had only known him an hour! This is ridiculous, I have just been deprived of any boyfriends for a long time (maybe forever) but I am being delusional for thinking I liked him!
We head inside of the open room where basically everything was, on the far right hand side of the room were five beds, and on the left was a small kitchen. We walked inside and they all took a seat, I yawned as I realized what the time was, it was already ten. "You better get some sleep, otherwise you won't be able to come with us tomorrow." Says Mason as he walks over to the set of beds. He pulls a cover out of a closet close by and hands it to me, he gives me a smile and walks away. "See you tomorrow Brooke.” Says Hunter with a wave as Amberly and himself leave the room. It's then in the dark that I realize two things, first of all, the three of them had left and didn't need to sleep, and second of all, I never told them my name was Brooke.
