Y/N's Point of View

It was Friday and Mali invited me over for the Weekend. I was pretty excited because it would be my first time over. I was also a little scared because I was worried that her mum or her dad wouldn't like me. She tried to convince me that they would like me and we'd get along well. I didn't know about her brother though. He was very quiet and shy. I didn't know if he would even speak to me at all that weekend.

School was slow today, but I finally made to to our last class. It was PE and we were all lined up on the field outside school. We were playing soccer and I ended up sitting down on the benches at the edges of the field. Mali wasn't with me as she was a few years higher than me.

I was taking a sip of my water and spotted Calum running across the field with the soccer ball. I quickly put down the bottle and watched him play. I knew it was Mali's brother because I've seen him in pictures with Mali and they came to school and went home together everyday. Also, they looked pretty similar.

When I looked at him, I actually thought he was pretty good-looking. He had a perfect smile, soft dark hair and a loud laugh. He also seemed very good at soccer, which I found quite interesting.

He looked at me for a second and I quickly moved my head down. I hoped he didn't see me because if he did, it would be awkward when I have to go home with Mali. I tried to distract myself from watching the game in general so I didn't have any eye-contact with him again.

I was trying think about some things to pass time. I remember him talking to two other boys. I know that their names are Luke and Michael, but I didn't know much about them though. Calum was definitely the most good-looking one, in my opinion.

I heard the bell ring for school to end and I started to pack my stuff away. I was walking to the gate outside school where Mali told me to meet her. Calum was obviously going in the same direction as me to meet Mali too. I didn't walk with because I though it would be awkward and he'd probably think I'm some weird girl who watched him play soccer.

I could hear his voice not far behind me and I started to tense up. His foot steps started to get closer and closer. I could hear his voice speak to me from behind. "Hey, are you maybe Y/N?" I stopped in my tracks and turned around. "Uhm, yeah I am," I say with a small smile. He walked next to me on the way to the gate. He didn't speak much. Personally, I think he did catch me and is now a bit freaked out.

"Uhm, you're really good at soccer," I said quietly. He looked at me and had a smirk on his face. "Thank you. I'm trying to go into soccer more, but I'm in a band too. We're nothing big, I think we're really good." "You're in a band? I bet you guys sound amazing!" He went quiet for a moment. "Thank you. I'd like to think we're good," he said with a small giggle at the end. I smiled a bit, but tried to cover it. We were at the gate and I saw Mali waiting for us.

The three of us were waiting for her parents to pick us up. We had a small conversation about our days, until I saw Mali and Calum's parents' car parked outside. We walked outside, put our bags in the trunk of the car and got in the back seat. We buckled up and sat comfortably. Joy turned around and greeted me with a big smile and I smiled back, "Afternoon, Mrs Hood." David turned around too and greeted me with a large smile as well, "Afternoon, Mr Hood." They both turned around and the care to go home.I had a chat with Mali and Calum joined in the conversation once in a while. He was quite quiet.

We arrived at their house and Mali lead me to her room to put my bags down. We both sat in the lounge and watched some television. There was a marathon of our favorite movies that night. We knew exactly what we were going to do that night. I needed the bathroom and got up. The bathroom was past Calum's room and I glanced at the parts of the room I could see as I walked past. I saw Calum lying on his bed texting on his phone.

"Mali and I are watching movies... would you like to join?" I asked quietly. He looked at me quickly and relaxed a little. "I wouldn't want to interrupt your sleep over," he said back. "You won't interrupt anything. Come watch with us!" He got up and went to the lounge. I quickly went to the bathroom and made my way back to the lounge. I sat on the couch with Mali on my right and Calum on my left. I was actually enjoying my time.
