Once upon a time there was a little girl. She loves to read, and her favorite story was Cinderelle. It was her favorite story because in the end the poor girl in rags gets there Prince charming.
One night the little girl fell asleep reading Cinderella...
She wakes up in her room; it's morning, but something feels different. Something was different indeed. She was being yelled at by her step-mom, who usually got along with really well. " Lucy, why aren't you up? " she yells.
"Sorry momma, I guess I was sleepier than I thought," Lucy replies.
"Don't call me momma little girl, you call me ma'am or mrs. Am I understood, " states her step -mother. Yes ma'am was all Lucy could reply.
"Now get up and make breakfast, now I know you know better than that, sleeping in when you know you've got chores to do," step-mother muttered under her breath, yet loud enough to hear
Lucy was on her hands and knees scrubbing the floors of her home. She thought,' what happened while I was asleep?' She kept asking herself.
"Lucy!" Someone yelled
Lucy broke out of her train of thought and looked up. "Why are you just sitting there?" Asked her dual-core Christopher . "Sorry Christopher, I was lost in thought," Lucy replied politely. "I don't really care, momma just wants me to tell you too get your ass up and get too work," Christopher replied back with attitude. Lucy's jaw dropped, never in a million years did she expect Christopher to be rude to her, her step sister Marie, maybe, but never Christopher.
As the day went on things got worse.
Years went by and things got worse.
It all went by very fast for Lucy, she was up at the crack of dawn, cooked breakfast, did chores, cooked lunch, more chores, cooked dinner, finished chores, showered, slept, repeat. Everyday, for years.
One day...
Someone knocked on the door.
*knock, knock, knock*
"Lucy get the door!"
"Yes ma'am!" Lucy replied.
she went to the door and opened it. "Hi, may I help you?" Asked Lucy. " yes ma'am, I'm just here to give your family a formal invitation to the princes coronation ball, " he replied. Lucy's jaw dropped, "why thank you sir, I'll be sure to give it to my step-mother," she replied . "Thank you ma'am," he replied and walked away.
Lucy shut the door and took the invitation to her step-mother. "Mrs. We've been formally invited to the prince's coronation ball!" She said excitedly to her step mother. " We? " she paused and looked at Lucy. "No sweety, not we, myself and my children were invited, not you." She said sternly . "Yes ma'am, sorry ma'am," Lucy replied with her head down.
