Thousands and thousands of years ago polar bears and caribou fought for their masters. The never ending war of Alaska, some might call it. Akna, the goddess of fertility joined sides with Tekkeitsertok. Tekkeitsertok was the master of the caribou. Akna made it so female caribou could give a facile birth to their offsprings, and made it so female polar bears could only give agonizing births, and sometimes when she crossed a female polar bear she even took fertility away from them.
Once Nanook, the master of the polar bears found out that Tekkeitsertok was receiving outside help, he decided to do the same. Nanook made an agreement with the Qalupaliks. The agreement was that if they would kill every caribou, especially the young ones they encounter, Nanook will let them live peacefully.
The never ending war seems to be coming to an end... but the end is just a new beginning to a new war... one much more chaotic than any other war before...
