Wrap Up

Ohoh... Makakasalubong ko si Clara. I see, she's fine now. I got worried when she suddenly disappeared the next day. Sabi ni nanny umalis na raw eh hinang-hina pa siya. Buti sana kung may sumundo.

As we passed by each other, she still has her annoying look, but the aura of hatred isn't there anymore. "Debt paid."

I smiled and continued walking. After the incident, she didn't attend classes for few weeks. That same week she disappeared, Isaac told me a weird story about their company being saved by some hacker giving back their lost money. They saved his company from bankruptcy. Yes, Clara did it.

"Huuuuu..." I exhaled loudly. This is the day I'm going to wrap up things with Mina and Isaac. Kaya ko 'to!

"Oh, ano pala yung sasabihin mo?" Tanong sakin ni Isaac nang makasalubong ko siya habang papasok ng classroom. By now, wala na kaming ginagawa kasi tapos na ang periodic tests and everything. Graduation ceremony nalang ang kulang.

"Tara sa rooftop." Sagot ko nalang saka nauna nang naglakad. Haru is probably waiting there now.

We left him at the rooftop. He was shocked and didn't know how to react.

"What do you think will happen?" Tanong niya.

"I honestly don't know." I said and sighed. Mina is next. "But Isaac is very understanding..."

"I know. I just underestimated him."

"Or more like overestimated yourself."

"Ahh... yes. But doesn't that make us the same?" He smiled. "Oo nga pala. About kay Clara, she suddenly broke— I mean she suddenly decided to stop this."

"And?"

He gave me a puzzled look. "And I don't know what to make of it. Something doesn't add  up."

Gusto kong matawa at sabihin lahat ng nangyari. I didn't use 'THAT' incident to threathen her. She did this on her own, and I don't think it's due to the fear of me blabbering about it. She's grateful that I hid it.

"気にするな." I said and gave him a pat on his back. "Minus one problem."

*気にするな — read as 'kinisuruna', meaning 'don't worry about it.'

He looked at me with an extremely puzzled look that his brows are becoming a unibrow. Heh, adorbs.

"Let's talk." Sabi ko nang lumabas siya galing sa kwarto niya. I came in her house to talk since she always ignores me at school. Dito kasi, hindi na siya makakatalas at hindi na niya ako mai-ignore kasi walang alam ang parents niya na may ganitong nangyayari sa amin.

Kaaakyat lang ni tita matapos niya akong batiin kanina.

She stood there with a defeated look. Wala siyang magawa eh. "Sa kwarto."

"Hindi naman ako magtatagal eh." Sabi ko saka sinara ang pintuan sa likuran ko. She sat on her bed, uninterested in me.

"Go."

"Ako yung tipo ng tao na itatago lahat ng problema sa buhay hanggang kaya ko para walang gulo. Pero tutal gulong-gulo na, magsasalita na ako. I didn't purposely like Haru. Hindi ko siya inagaw sayo. Hindi kita inagawan ng chance. I didn't say anything when you purposely ignored and avoided me kahit na ang bigat. You're my childhood friend, then suddenly, that happened. Tapos malalaman ko nalang na sinasabotahe mo na pala ako. Patago akong sinasaktan. Alam kong ikaw yung taong kayang gawin lahat makiha lang ang gusto, but I didn't know you could reach such lengths. If you asked, I would have backed off. Kung nagpatulong ka, I would have said yes. Kung sinabi mo agad, I would have supported you. Shocked ako nung una pero naintindihan ko rin. Anyone could go berserk for love, so I forgive you. Yung pang-aasar ko sayo, I'm sorry. I won't give excuses. So yun, sana lang hindi na tayo napaabot sa ganito. I'm mad at what you did, but not at you. Promise."

I can't see her face from all those strands of hair that act as a curtain on her face. Nakayuko lang siya and she's not saying anything.

"Gusto ko lang sabihin yan para malaman mo yung side ko." I said, but still no reply. "Una na ako."

Ahh... I feel like crying...
