Fading

In an alley, summer came

And left soon, without a hint of rain

In a dusty room, dancing with the millions

Of stars, clinging to our garments

But we were fading just like the summer

Until the leaves fell on casualties of love

And soon the minutes were replaced by miles

Until the sands of every hourglass were gone

Like a memory of what we always

Hope, would be the coming days

When it was your hand in mine

And a simple promise broke(n)
