Pounding, my heart was pounding. I shook in my cage. I was terrified. The other dogs whined and yelped. I tried to clam myself, trying to block out the pair of dogs in the Cavity, barking, in fear and pain.

I settled in my cage. I looked around for a crack, a hole, anything that led out to fresh air. Nothing. Just a dark box.

My paws were sore and bloody from clawing at the piece of wood that held me back from the cavity. I cringed at the thought of being in that nasty ring. Pushing the thought out of my head I 'focused on the voices of men yelling and hollering at the dogs, trying to figure out how much longer I had left.

An ear piercing scream rang out into the night. One of the dogs gave up, they finally let go of the never ending fights, let go of guessing when they would make the wrong move and loose. I shrunk back as far back as possible in my box. The fight was over. Im next.
