6:00am

Killua awoke early with a pounding migraine. Never had he felt so sick in his life. Which surprised him, considering his family tortured him the majority of his life.

He rubbed his head hoping to ease some of the pain that was bothering him. When that didn't work, Killua decided to go and look for something to eat.

He calmly searched the pantry hoping to find some decent cereal, considering his family never thought of making breakfast. Or even assigning one of the hundreds of butlers they had to do so.

Killua rummaged through the pantry. With his luck, he found a box of FrootLoops that had about a bowl left in the bag. He let out a defeated sigh. 'I'm going grocery shopping today, and I don't care if my mom starts crying', he thought whilst pouring the cereal in a bowl.

Killua sat in one of the high stools that stood near the counter. He quietly chomped through his cereal whilst scrolling through his social media feed.

He enjoyed the quietness he had in the morning before his family woke up and started a long lecture about how he could be a better Zoldyk and become an assassin like the rest of them. But Killua didn't want that type of life. He wanted a normal life like the rest of the people at school, who had many friends and seemed to be happy all the time. Instead of being trapped in a depressing mansion where you're only allowed to leave for missions.

Killua took another spoon of his cereal. 'It's gonna be a long weekend', he thought.

.....

Killua carefully pushed the shopping cart through the aisle, his blue crisp eyes following and examining the choices of food he had. He quickly grabbed what he wanted and whatever his mom wanted. He then proceeded to the check out aisle. That's when he noticed something familiar with the guy at the checkout.

He looked to be a young boy, around the same age as Killua himself. But that wasn't what made him so recognizable. It was his dark spiky hair and tan skin that made Killua realize who was.

He remembered seeing the boy around the school. He would always be talking to someone, and he seemed relatively popular. Then, it the same scene replayed last night in his head. He was being put into a car by what seemed a male with dark spiky hair. He had taken him home, and although he couldn't see the face very well, he did remember that same tan skin tone.

Killua then snapped out of thought, realizing that he was next in line for the checkout. Killua nervously put his items on the treadmill and attempted not to make any eye contact with the male. The boy then gave Killua a warm smile and greeted him. Killua sighed in relief, realizing that it possibly wasn't the same boy or that he just forgot. That is until he heard the words...

"Hey, I remember you."

Killua felt a knot in his stomach start to form. This is exactly what he wanted to avoid. A confrontation. Killua raised his head and gave an awkward smile. The tension in the atmosphere rising.

"H-ha, yeah...", he said, words struggling to come out.

The boy proceeded to check out his items. "Ha, yeah, they got you good at that party", he spoke. Killua felt his face start to heat. 'How can he say that so casually?!', he screamed in his head.

"You're feeling better now, right?", the boy asked pausing to look at Killua. His eyes were a deep soothing caramel that filled with concern as awaited for Killua's answer.

"Yeah,... I-I'm feeling a lot better", Killua managed to speak. His heart racing with anticipation to get out of there.

The boy gave him a warming smile, as he continued to check out Killua's items. Once he finished, he held out his hand.
