Lake blue eyes, soft blonde hair, and rosy cheeks should make a blessing. A beautiful, pure child that God gifted to parents who prayed every night. Those traits should capture the core definition of innocence and love.
It was known from the infant's birth that she would be a alluring child. She was lucky to even be in her parents arms. After six miscarriages, a darling finally bloomed. It was sure that the sweetheart would be a spoiled and precious child. Lydia was also fortunate to be healthy. Her mother had been a previous smoker due to the depression that she had built up. Lydia's father had also grown old fast, grey hairs and wrinkles apparent as he smiled down at his daughter.
Although Ira and Mark, the parents, were worried about their child even before her birth, they were way more worried when they didn't hear her cry at first. Nurses were shocked to see the baby was as cold as a numbing winter night. That night the baby was quickly wrapped up in two soft thin blankets, she was put in a warm incubator soon after. Throughout the first night she didn't whimper one bit, she was still like a quiet pulse and pale as a white rose.
She died that night.
Her soul descended into Hell by accident. Must've slipped through an angels hands.
Anyways, her sinless soul fell into Lucifer's realm. Well directly into his hands as it could be said. At first, well he was disgusted. What would he do with a soul that was clean of crime? He hated those! Poor things thought they were full of righteousness. How revolting!
That was until he noticed it was a baby.
He manifested the soul into it's owner's previous form. And like he suspected, it was a baby. A damn baby! Again, he was repulsed. The urge to throw it away remained up till the baby opened it's eyes. It's tiny blue eyes. Lucifer quickly noticed the baby looking at him intently.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer" He spoke this with such humor that even he himself laughed. "I know you're a troll and all, but can't you at least crack a smile? After a few seconds of expectantly waiting he spoke. "Children are so fucking unappreciative these days"
At that point he had already grew fond of the baby. It hadn't left like others do. He could keep it. Possibly raise it. It took only a few minutes for the newborn to imprison his interest.
Looking down at the child, he spoke again. "Perhaps I could grow you? You're not that different from a flytrap"
The baby, as any newborn would, just closed it's eyes.
"You don't talk much, do you?"
Lucifer briskly called over his right hand, Axies.
Axies died years ago in his late teenage years. His father abused of his mother and later on shot him for his lack of money. When Axies arrived to the realm, he was taken up to Lucifer. Usually kids are checked by him. He was the only kid up until now. Children don't usually go to Hell. Probably a mistake the system made. Eventually, meaning six years after his arrival, an angel did come to pick his soul up so he can join the others in Heaven but by then Axies already saw Satan as a mentor. A father, in a vaguely messed upkind of way. So Axies refused his ticket to Heaven and stayed as Lucifer's right hand.
"Yes, Luce?" Axies had a tone of uncertainty. Lucifer was only ever up in the Tower of Lydion when a mistake was made.
"Water. Find me a glass of the purest water you can find. Make it fucking fast" The certainty in his voice wasn't what shocked Axies, it was the child in Luce's arms.
Without a question, Axies turned around and headed to get his lord's command.
