The group silently entered the precinct, taking in the surroundings well. A woman with riveting blue eyes shoots a glare at the dark skinned man next to her, clearly not pleased as she uttered:
"I don't like this idea one bit. I thought we all agreed to leave Shaw?"
Impatiently, the dark skinned man clicked his tongue and answered her,"We did, but what choice do we have now that a certain person apparently decided to come take us here?"
His eyes shot daggers at the wall, as if imagining someone standing directly in front of him, and shook his head.
"Let's just do what we need to do,"the second man next to the dark skinned one told them in a gentle voice."If they stay true to their word and give us what we want...then that's another win for us."

The three were so engrossed in their conversation that they were shocked as the police brought in what seemed like a young man, probably in his 20s. His dark brown hair was unkempt, hiding his eyes from them. To keep him from struggling, two guards held him in place - to avoid him from escaping.
"You fucking goons,"he bellowed."I'll fucking kill you all, y'hear?"
"Careful with your words, Adler. Any word you say can and will be used against you, so don't even bother,"a female officer tells him in a clear crisp voice, showing that she will not be fazed by his words - that desperate measures will be taken should he try to resist.

The woman steps back, completely shocked."Whoa- that's..."she bit her lip and watched as the police escort him inside the cells, to be locked for who knows how long.
The man struggled against their hold, hoping to escape...but to no avail. Nervously, the woman chewed on her lip whilst twirling her caramel brown locks around her finger, like she does when nervous. Whereas her companions look on, unfazed; maybe even bored.
"Excuse me, do you know who that was?"the lady asked the police near the desk.
"Xavier Adler,"he answers gravely."Bigshot criminal. Part of the Red Death, if I recall correctly."
"My, my,"she tutted."Criminals run rampant nowadays, don't they, Officer..."she paused to look at his nameplate,"Dalton? You never know where the next one is...hell, it could even be me."

"You?"the officer seemed amused by the woman's words."I do not believe that a pretty face such as yours would ever commit heinous crimes as this?"
"Officer, I make a proposition,"the woman leans forward, staring into his eyes."How about we see each other tonight, and you teach me a thing or two?"
Lost in her riveting eyes, Dalton did not sense that someone was standing behind him, nor did he realize that this was a trap. Biting his lip, he answers to the woman:
"Humor m-"
Before he could finish his sentence, he felt a whack on his head, and the officer is out cold. It was the dark skinned man, and he is gripping a security truncheon, eyes glowering at the unconscious policeman.
"Suck on that. Good work, Hester,"he spits out before regarding the female, approval lacing his tone.

Together, the three headed inside the cells to see the two guards knocked out on the floor, and the criminal Xavier held the keys in his hand. He tosses it to the dark skinned man, calling out:"Heads up, Foley."
"Got it,"he caught it effortlessly in the air and unlocked one of the cells. The third man pulls out a gun from one of the police and points it at the inmates.
"If one of you speaks word of this, consider yourselves dead,"he threatened, glowering at them.
Foley then approached one of the men in the corner.
His hair had grown as well as it had turned grayer still. A thick bush of a moustache and beard covered his features. Jason Shaw.

"Up on your feet, Shaw,"Foley tells him."We've got no time to waste."
The man looked up at his name being called - and hope glimmers back in his dead stare."Foley? But I thought-"
"Talk less, move more,"Foley warns him."If they catch us, we're dead meat."
Helping Jason up, Foley headed for the exits, closely followed by Hester, Wallace and Xavier, the latter laughing gleefully to himself.
"To think that you actually pulled this off,"he smirks."Somebody's clearly been doing their homework."
Hester's nose scrunches up, then she rolls her eyes."Fuck off, Xavier."

Xavier turns to her, his eyes scanning her up and down."Whoa, okay, Miss Feisty."
Raising his hands in shoulder level, Xavier marched to his own car, where a hooded person was waiting.
"So, have you gotten him out?"
"Successfully, Ashburn,"says Xavier proudly.
Pride laced Ashburn's tone upon replying,"You're doing a hell of a good job, Xavier. Now drive. Jason and I have much to discuss, and I believe we have someone on our tail."
"On it,"Xavier nods and gets the car started, revving out of there and into the street. And a car chase ensues as police sirens rang behind them, in hot pursuit of the newly escaped criminals.

Back in Hester's car, Jason sat shotgun and unable to believe that this was happening.
"I thought you all bailed on me,"he says."What happened for you to just come back?"
An uneasy silence filled the car, before Foley decidedly gives Jason his answer, saying:
"You'll find out later,"he sighs and leans back on his seat.
"Son of a bitch,"he utters, throwing his hands up and shrugging."What does that mean?"
Later, the two cars lost the police and they got out to see that they have been led to some large hideout. Three stories, faded white paint, but still damn spacious. How it looks outside is not what it is inside, for inside... An elegant style of furniture decorates the place - bearing the color schemes of black and white. It was the resemblance of a sleek, rich businessman's building.
"Who the hell would own this one heck of a building?"Jason gawks at the sight before him, unable to believe it.

"Welcome to R- ouch,"Xavier was about to exclaim, but Ashburn nudged him on the ribs, cutting him short."Sorry, I'll let you explain."
Ashburn strided in front of Jason and then pulled off the hood, revealing the true depths of their identity. Upon seeing, Jason bit his lip.
"I should have known it was you,"he says flatly.
"Right,"Ashburn tells Jason, tone passive and unenthusiastic."You've outdone yourself, Shaw. From what I have heard, your own wife turned you in. What was her name again?"

Propelled by a wave of fury, Jason launched himself at Ashburn, his hand closing in on the leader's throat. At this, Xavier pulled out his gun and pointed it towards Jason.
"Boss, are you okay?"Xavier grunted out.
"I'm fine,"Ashburn responded, then regarded Jason calmly."Let go of me."
"Don't talk to me about Meghan,"he growled, not releasing his grip on the leader's neck."Why did you even help me, huh? Don't you want me dead?"

"Me? Want you dead?"Ashburn lets out a hearty laugh."No, Jason. I want an ally, and I choose you and your little comrades here. Now, do you accept or not?"
