It was a new day and Beca was finishing her final hour at work. The brunette was a junior music producer at a music company. It wasn't exactly the life Beca wanted. Sure, she wanted to produce music but she wanted to produce her own music and be a star instead of making other people stars but it was better than nothing. She was working in an industry that she wanted so she was happy about that. However, times weren't exactly pleasant when people rejected Beca's assistance with their music. People would submit their music in hope to produce it and Beca listened to it and tweaked it so it would be more appealing to the public. Unfortunately, not everybody liked Beca changing their music and that's what made Beca's job hard for her. Music was Beca's passion and she was quite proud of what she was capable of so when people shut her ideas down, a little piece of her chipped away and it chipped every time someone did that.

Beca tried to harden herself to it and she did for a little while. Beca was good at hardening herself to things. She was a pro but when it came to music, it was a little different. Music was where her heart was and when someone came along and insulted that or rejected it... It wasn't pleasant for Beca at all. However, it was Beca's job and she just had to push through it. She knew that the music industry was tough and competitive. People weren't always going to be nice and friendly. If you wanted something then you had to work for it, fight for it, and earn it. Beca knew that all too well but she felt that her talents weren't being used to their full ability. She had so much to give the world but nobody was accepting it. Deep down, it hurt Beca and she hated it. The more hurt Beca got, the more she shut herself away from people and built her protection walls up higher and higher.

Beca's friends could see the damage she was doing to herself when she did that. They saw that the brunette had become more distant from them and they hated it. Yes, Beca was a stick in the mud with a serious attitude and a badass persona but she was fun to hang around with. She was good company and she was the kind of person to give things to you honestly. She wouldn't sugarcoat things - she would give it to you straight. Of course, Beca wasn't everybody's cup of tea and Beca was an acquired taste but her friends loved her for all of her faults. She wasn't perfect but neither were they and that's why they got along so well. They knew how to work Beca and get her to do things that she didn't really want to do. Some people couldn't see why anybody would want to be friends with Beca but that didn't bother them. They knew Beca and others didn't and that was their loss.

Beca didn't care what people thought of her but it brought her great comfort that she had a strong group of friends that she knew would support her no matter what. But Beca still was closed off to them. They had been through a lot together but there were some things that Beca wasn't prepared to tell them, her anatomy being one of them. She trusted her friends with a lot of things but that wasn't one of them. By this stage, Beca knew that her friends wouldn't just turn on her but that little bit of doubt she had told her otherwise so she just kept her mouth shut. What they didn't know didn't hurt them and it wasn't like Beca was going to do anything. Sure, sometimes Beca got a bit aroused when Stacie wore one of her low-cut tops or short-shorts but she couldn't help that. Because of her anatomy and having a bit more testosterone than usual, Beca couldn't help some of the sexual urges she got but she never acted on them.

Even if she wanted to, she wouldn't go after Stacie Conrad who was claimed by Aubrey Posen. Because Stacie was so beautiful, she did get looks from people and got hit on quite a lot and it pissed Aubrey off a lot, causing Aubrey to get super jealous and overprotective of her girlfriend but Stacie always knew how to calm her down. Speaking of which, Beca had finished her shift and was out at a bar with her friends unwinding.

"So, Beca, how was work?" Stacie asked.

"Oh, you know... Same shit, different day."

"Why don't you just quit?" Aubrey probed.

"I can't just quit, Aubrey."

"Why not? You complain about it all the time and you're clearly not happy there. Why don't you just find somewhere else?"

"Because finding somewhere else isn't easy. I was lucky to get into the place I'm at now."

"Why don't you look for another place while you're still there? Then, when you get the job, you can quit and jump right into your new job."

Aubrey was always very practical and even though Beca had difficulty getting along with Aubrey, the woman did give some good advice.

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea. I'm not getting where I want to be."

"Bree's right," Stacie spoke. "Find somewhere better but don't stop following your dreams. You make good music, Becs, and your time will come!"

"Thanks, Stacie. I will."

"Yeah!" Stacie raised her glass but when she did, she accidentally knocked Aubrey, spilling her drink all over her low-cut top, which happened to be white and see through.

Beca's eyes widened as she saw Stacie's bra through her shirt.

"Stacie!" Aubrey hissed.

"Shit! Sorry!"

Stacie scrambled to find a napkin, completely unaware that she was close to falling out of her now soaked top. Beca felt herself heat up from the inside out and she began to grow between her legs. Beca cursed internally and tried her best to calm down and hide her growing friend and she was doing a good job until Stacie leaned over to her.

"Hey, Becs, do you have a napkin?" Stacie reached over to Beca, planting her hand on Beca's leg and pushing her breasts forward.

"Stacie," Beca choked. "You- ah, I don't- fu..."

That's when Stacie slipped a little, causing her hand to fall right on Beca's crotch. Beca hissed sharply and Stacie froze. She looked down at her hand and saw what she was grabbing then looked at Beca.

"Becs...?"

Beca's blood went cold as she looked at Stacie but it didn't last long since she pushed Stacie off of her and raced into the bathroom where she felt her heartbeat pick up and her breathing hitch. She started to tremble and sweat. Her chest was tight and she had a strong sense of impending doom; factors Beca knew all too well of a panic attack. Beca tried to calm down but it didn't work, especially when Stacie came into the bathroom to try and talk to Beca but she couldn't say much due to Beca passing out on the floor before her.
