I walk into the packed hallways of Pantaloon High. Schedule in hand, I scurry my way to first period. I walk in the almost empty room. The only student I see there is Grant. I smile at him and he ignores it. I sit down next to him and he immediately gets up and walks out the room. My best friend Delilah walks in and jumps into my arms.
"Hey!! How was your summer?"
"Delilah, we literally spent most of it together."
"oh.. well how's Max?"
"Max is good! He can be annoying sometimes but that's what big brothers do!"
"We should go to the cafe since we are early! Get some breakfast!"
"Sure!"
We walk to the cafe, and Grant glares at me.
"what's up with him? isn't he one of your best friends?"
"Yea. I thought he was."
We get some food and hang out in the classroom. the bell rings and we sit down next to each other. The teacher, Mrs Becker, introduces herself and what the class is about and what we will learn.
Most of the classes today were like that. When i get home i text grant right away.

oh. i'm so sorry. i just found out my crush didn't like me and i was upset all day.

one hour later-
I start cleaning my room when i hear my phone buzz.
GRANT WANTS TO FACETIME
I accept, and talk for hours with him. His smile makes me bubble with joy. Sooner or later it's 8pm.
"oh shit, i have to eat dinner hahah"
"same lol, i'll talk to you later Grant!"
"bye Kira!"
why do i feel butterflies in my stomach?

why did time fly by when with him?
but i can't like Grant

but i cannot let anyone know
