Chapter 4: Hakunon City

"Let us inspect you," The guard said, but Asuka holds up her hand just so they're the only ones who can see, and she shows something like a badge to the guards hanging on her belt.

When the guards sees the badge he was quite surprised at first, but then it was replaced by a serious expression.
"Hmmm," The guard nodded,
"They're also with me, they don't have any documents yet," Asuka said,

"I understand, your group may pass," The guard said,

Asuka nods to the group and they follow her into the city, they pass through the humongous gate and they're greeted by a tall and wide tunnel.

"Whoooa!" Kaoru and Chizuru both exclaimed together,

"How huge...," Hijikata mumbled,

"The tunnel is designed to keep any invaders inside the tunnel as the guards fire their weapons down here," Asuka said,
"Hooo,"

It took three minutes for them to finally exit the large tunnel, and they finally see the inside of the city!
The walls stretches far and at the center of the wall, there are many citizen's houses. They thought that the future might have different types of houses, but they didn't think that they're greeted by a familiar sight.

Asuka takes them through the streets of the city. They many people walking through the streets like any normal days. They talked and laughed with each other, they're bargaining vegetables, clothes, and many other things.

The group could think that there's no disaster happening outside of this fortress city.

"Sure is peaceful...," Shiranui said,

"Hm? Well, to make it like this...it took years to get this far," Asuka said,

"So, where are we going?" Kazama asked,

"We're gonna stay at an inn, we promised to meet up there," Asuka said,

Finally, they reach a large inn where Asuka books two rooms. One is for the Oni trio, and one is for Hijikata, Chizuru, Kaoru and herself.

"You guys should get some rest first. After that, I'll take you guys to find some new clothes," Asuka said,
"Thank you," Amagiri bows,

"Alright then, I'll be going out for a moment," Asuka said,

"Where are you going?" Kaoru asked,

"I gotta handle some business, I won't be long," Asuka waves her hand and she left the inn,

"Customers, let me take you to your rooms," A young attendant said,

She takes them to their rooms that is on the third floor. They got rooms that are side-by-side.
"We'll have your food sent to you soon," The attendant said as she closes the door,

"Man...why do we have to share a room?" Shiranui groaned as he sat on the floor,

"It cannot be helped, after all Asuka is the one who paid for our stay," Amagiri said,

It was later at night that Asuka finally returns to the inn, she had a tired expression on her face as she falls onto the soft stacked futons.

"Haaaa...," Asuka sighed,

"Where have you been?" Hijikata asked,

"Hm..? Just doing business, sorry I'm so tired I need to sleep...," Asuka said
"Huh? Buy you haven't eaten-" Before Chizuru could finish, Asuka is already fast asleep,

"Honestly. Chizuru, help me out," Hijikata said,
"Yes,"

Hijikata slowly lifts Asuka up, while Chizuru went and laid the futons. Hijikata then slowly lay her on the futon and she's tucked under a blanket by Chizuru.
