It was a dark and cold night, it was the night before Mia's tenth birthday. The thing she never did as a kid was go outside. So she runs downstairs without falling down the stairs like she usually does because shes clumsy. She finally gets downstairs and her mom was in the kitchen. Mia walks up to her mom and quietly asks "mom can i go outside please" she softly smiles up at her mom. Her mom looked at her with astonishment and told her "go ahead but be careful because you know what happened last time" she stares down at her. Mia smiles at her mom once more and walked outside. Outside it was dark and she didn't mind it because she wasn't afraid of the dark. She was different than the other kids after all. Her eyes were two different colors at birth. The colors were icy blue and hazel brown. The kids at her school would bully her for it. So she wore an eyepatch over her right eye or she would cover it with her hair. She would come home with either with bruises or giant cuts along her arms and legs. The reason being that the kids would throw rocks at her. They would call her names like freak,monster,demon and weirdo. They would do that and run from her and scream "run from Mia shes a monster if she touches you, you turn into a monster". The teachers didn't even care what the kids did to her. That's why she didn't go outside at all. Until today because it was the night before her tenth birthday. She walks around outside her place and sees a strange man near the woods, so she walked over to him to see what he was doing. He looked at her with excitement and she didn't understand why and asked him "sir, are you ok" she questions. He looks at her with hunger and reaches out for her arm but she steps back from him. Which makes him pounce on her pushing all his heavyweight on her. she was so scared that she couldn't move, then she noticed that the guy had no iris just pupils and that scared her alot. He felt so heavy on her that she couldn't even breath. Then something weird happened, he licked her face then down her neck. She flinched at this action because this has never happened to her. Then finally he got off of her and she scrambled from under him. He stopped her from running from him and handed her a small cupcake and said "eat this now" he practically yells at her. He hands her the cupcake and the colors were so unnatural. The colors were blood red and gold frosting. After she ate the cupcake, she ran home without asking the guys name. She runs inside scared, breathing heavily her back covered in grass and dirt. She tries to explain what happened to her mom but she was too out of breath. Her mom calmed her down enough so she can hear her. Mia started saying "mom there was a strange guy outside and he grabbed me and pinned me to the ground, then he licked me and gave me a cupcake and made me eat it" she sobs. Her mom pats her on the head and tells her that it was going to be ok.
