blazing lights covered the busy streets of seoul, in unity with the eye catching neon signs that hanged like trophies around the buildings that towered among the people that were riled up on the sidewalk imitating ants on its way back after a day of working with hues of purple splattered around the sky above them giving off a vibrant partnership with the city一 and if one was to stop to take in the sight, no one could blame them.

the smell of various foods mixed with the sound of chattering were almost normal in this part of town for resisting hunger after a long day is almost as similar to not rewarding yourself for working hard.

at nighttime, almost everyone was freed off their jobs and was given the chance to relax, or enjoy themselves rather before starting another day in their life: some would hit the bars to drink their sorrows away from either loss, brokenhearted or extreme stress that can only be cured by that sizzling liquid burning through their throats or some may be spending it somewhere with their acquaintances as they try to get closer to them even more, to finally know whether to draw the line of friendship or to take another step up beyond that.

nonetheless, for one person, it was neither of those

like a curtain that has fallen onto an object engulfing it into its fabric, the shadows slowly filled the dimly lit room, dragging every corner into a pit of darkness only to be ruined by a silhouette of a young woman quietly sitting on her bed who appears to be looking out from the crack of her pale apricot curtains that has let in the illuminating moon that came in contact with her wooden floor, and if not for this trespassing radiance; the room wouldve felt empty.

a sigh mixing in with the lonely atmosphere that surrounded her was shattered by the mere sound of buzzing emitted by her phone that was casually hiding in her bed sheet covers making it hard for her to find out the reason for its disturbance. muffled grumbling slowly dripping off her lips were soon replaced with squinted eyes as she was blinded with the brightness of her screen一 however it wasnt the only thing that caused her to furrow her brows once she managed to take view of the text plastered in her notifications.

"come by down the resto if ur free, we never see u anymore.. :'((("

her now irritated expression gradually changed into a regretful one once she noticed the sender of the message above the letters.

" LaLisa 👑 "

The name lingered in her mind longer than it shouldve been but it repeated itself in its own will like a record unknowingly playing itself on repeat. If the woman remembers perfectly, this was her 23rd text this week and it was noticeable that the latter was worried sick for her friend's sudden abstinence from the office.

Her workplace she considered as her second home dropped down to a title of the least place she wanted to be in the most but don't get her wrong一 there wasn't any particular reason why she took a week off from her job yet rather it was somehow related to the environment and the surprising amount of social interaction that's been happening lately; in simple terms, relationships seems to be a trend these days.

and it was one that she wanted to be a part of.

trying almost everything off the list of every single dating site possible, she encountered almost no one that sparked her interest. Some may call her choosy, picky or just the ol' plain stereotype of someone who has high standards as what people wouldve described it that is but not a single person gave her this feeling everyone's been addicted to; love.

those butterflies in your stomach.

that little sensation that makes your heart quicken its pace.

she never did experience this kind of scenario, though she still had the capability of loving food and her friends; no matter how irritating they can be at times; she doesnt know what it is that just makes it hard for her to find this drug.

letting out a breathy sigh to escape her thoughts, she turned her attention back to the small rectangular screen that still had Lisa's message for show. Hugging one of her knees to her chest letting the other be, she couldnt help but read what she sent again before coming to a conclusion一 the sound her fingers made whilst in contact with the keypad, almost resembled like those of a galloping horse due to how quick she was typing her response after 2 weeks of isolation from her social media; causing her to think how grateful she was that she timed up her hibernation with her week-off that slowly expanded to more than one, and how her boss hasnt fired her yet.

"not today lis, i just woke up. ill be back at work tomo tho, ill see everyone soon"

not even waiting for a reply back, she simply placed the phone on her lap and shifted her brown eyes back at her windows where she currently let her mind wander about.

the thought of not having a partner didnt really bother her but it was just the fact that almost everyone in her circle of friends had one and the idea of being left out; just didnt feel good.

a problem thats what it is thought the blonde as she fumbled in her sheets letting the weight of her body come in contact with the soft matress一 allowing herself to take view of the beige colored ceiling above her.

"I just dont know what I'm doing wrong."
