Hermione's POV

My phone buzzing caught my attention and I saw that Draco had texted. "Merlin, we've been sitting here talking about it for nearly forty-five minutes!"

Harry looked down at his watch and shrugged. "I mean, this is rather important. If this woman doesn't have access to the Wolfsbane potion and the cycle is starting today, then this could have potentially deadly effects. We haven't had any known attacks in the past two or three months."

"I know, that's why I'm very worried about this one," I said. "I have absolutely no information on this woman either; she didn't even confirm that she was a werewolf."

You said her accent was familiar though," He said contemplatively. He was leaning against the chair's arm with his chin in his hand and was staring off towards the wall behind me. "And you couldn't place it?"

"I'm sure if I heard it again, I might be able to," I nodded.

He hummed slightly and then was silent for a few moments, before sighing. "Well, I can send a team out to do an initial sweep of the Isles. Really that's the only thing we can do until either we find her or she comes in again. She knows you're the person to talk to and knew which office to go to."

"And I made it clear that I wanted to help..." I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "I just really hope she turns up beforehand, even if she isn't able to find the potion tonight. I would've helped her get access to the potion but she didn't quite seem stable to be honest and I wasn't sure what her intentions were."

"I understand."

We fell silent and I fidgeted with my ring, going over everything in my mind. The Auror team at least had a heads up about the potential situation; really the only thing we could do now was wait. The only problem was that I hated waiting.

Harry reached out and tapped the desk gently, grabbing my attention. He gave me a soft smile and nodded as he said, "Everything's going to turn out fine. I'll get my team together and we'll start searching tonight. I'll take a night's supply of the potion in case we find her."

After a few moments I sighed and nodded in return. "Thank you."

He stood up then and said, "Why don't you go home and take a hot bath? I'd suggest coming over but I feel like a day at home might be best for you."

"Yeah, I might do that," I sighed.

"Or actually, have Draco take you somewhere," He said. "You're going to need distractions so that you're not trying to get updates from me every second."

He grinned at me and I was able to muster up a smile before shaking my head. "I need to be close in case she comes back."

"I didn't say you had to go far," He shrugged. "You could always go to a muggle library."

I tilted my head back and forth, considering that idea. "Not a bad plan."

His eyebrows shot up and he huffed slightly. "Hermione Granger saying that going to a library is 'not bad'? Are you sick?"

I managed to laugh at that. "Sorry, I'm still focused on what just happened."

"I understand." He gave a sigh and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, at least just go home and try to relax. I'm going to gather my team and we'll get started searching as soon as possible."

"Thank you, Harry."

He smiled once more before leaving me alone in my office, and I got lost in thought while staring at the door. My phone buzzing again pulled me out of my thoughts and as I grabbed it, I felt instantly guilty when I saw another text from Draco.
