Chapter One

Knock knock
6:00 am January 30,2013

"Ya levántate mija, ya es hora de ir a la escuela!"

I heard my mom yell from the other side of the door. I immediately get off of my bed and put on my clothes.

Hello, my name is Min Lucero I'm nine years old and I am in third grade. Today is going to be our first day back to school after our winter break. I'm so excited to see my friend. Yea friend I only have one.:(

When I finished putting on my clothes and making my bed, I grabbed my backpack and left my room to go eat breakfast. My mom had brought bread from her work so I got to eat a chocolate stuffed crossiant with milk. It was my favorite thing to eat. Once my little brother was ready we left for school.

"Hey Lucero over here"

I heard my friend Yuna yelling from the classroom door.

"Bye mami, te quiero"

I said to my mom and kissed her in the cheek. Then I ran to the classroom with Yuna.

Me and Yuna were catching up on what we did over winter break while we waited for the teacher to arrive.

"Good morning class."

"Good morning Mrs.Mildenburger" We all sang back.

"Okay class go take your things out to start class while I go do something."

We all took our stuff out and after five minutes or so the teacher came back, but she wasn't alone. Behind her was a little boy with brown hair. I couldn't see his face since he was behind the teacher, which made me really curious to know who he was.

"So class, today we have a new student. Please introduce yourself."

The boy slowly came out from behind the teacher. Once he was fully exposed to the class, I couldn't believe my eyes. He was so freaking cute. He had a round face and brown eyes to match his hair. I could tell right away he was a shy boy since he was hiding behind the teacher.

"H-Hi my name is Park J-Jimin. Please take c-care of me."

"Ok, you can sit next to Lucero. Lucero please raise your hand."

I immediately shot up my hand so he knew who I was. He slowly walked over to the empty seat next to me.

"Hi my name is Min Lucero."

I said while I took my hand out for him to shake. I guess he was shocked that I talked to him judging by the look on his face.

Jimin P.O.V
I was here all alone in the principals office. They had told me my mom had to leave and I didn't understand why so soon. Couldn't they let her wait until the teacher came to pick me up?? But she left any way. I didn't like the idea of us having to move from Korea to Colorado, but we had to since my cousin had a terrible car crash and had entered a coma.

We didn't know how long it would be for him to wake up so that's why had to make the decision of moving to America. I had no idea what this school was like, but I just hoped that I wouldn't have any problems with anyone and I would make it through the year.

"Hi there, ready to go?"

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard that and looked up at the owner of the voice. I was sad that I had to go to class now, but I had to go at some point didn't I.

I nodded at the teacher and got off my seat with a frown. Once we arrived at the classroom door I didn't want to go in. I was really nervous that I felt like I was going to throw up.

The teacher entered with me hiding behind her. Everyone stopped their conversations and looked up at the teacher.

"So class today we have a new student. Please introduce yourself."

After the teacher said that, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm down my nerves. I came out from behind the teacher and looked around the classroom.

There were more girls than boys but only one girl caught my eye. She didn't look like everyone else in here, she looked like the people back home. She had short black hair with bangs and a maroon hoodie. Her eyes were also a really beautiful hazel color. I was really curious to know who she was.

"H-Hi My name is Park J-Jimin. Please take c-care of me." I can't believe that I stuttered.

"Ok, you can go sit next to Lucero. Lucero please raise your hand."

I saw a hand shot up.... So her name is Lucero.

I slowly walk over to the empty seat next to Lucero.

"Hi my name is Min Lucero but you can call me Lu." She said while sticking her hand out for me to shake. I stared into her eyes that had me in some kind of trance. I was also shocked that she talked to me because girls usually don't talk to me. After I was done staring I shook her hand and took my seat.

This year is going to be interesting......
