A small disaster

Dora soon returned to being calm as the smell of chicken wafted in the air. "Mmm, delicious!" She exclaimed. Suddenly the smell became stronger, as did her desire to tear into the juicy meat. Get stomach growled. It sent ripples of hunger through her until a tsunami of gluttony drowned her in her own frantic fury to devour the golden delicacy. Distant murmurs uttered the words 'eat it all, eat it all,' and Dora was swept into a realm of her own imagination where large chicken drumsticks danced tauntingly in front of her... "WaaaaaaaOOH!" Dora was brought back to reality after realising she was daydreaming. "That was intense," she muttered.

Dora then proceeded to casually waddle into KFC like a penguin. "Quack quack quack quack -"  KABOOM! An explosion of gas erupted behind her. She froze. Heads turned her way. A baby started crying. "Um -" Dora began. Then the worst smell imaginable drifted into existence. The stench of mould, beans, eggs and mushrooms were now harmoniously filling up the room.

"EVACUATE!" A random man cried urgently.

"STAMPEDE!" Added another.

The herd of panicking people stampeded right over the top of Dora, squashing her to a pulp. In all of her confusion from the sudden event, she started quacking again. "Quack quack quack -" however, it didn't last long because she felt the ground begin to cave in. Her expression went from confused to panic stricken when she heard the sound of a building collapsing. "Aaaah!" She screamed. She flung herself out of the building and onto the road.

She ran like never before, with her hair straight out behind her. Wind howled in her ears. Her thighs burned but she kept going. She tore down the street and whizzed past her house. Her feet pelted down on the road and her shoes burst into flames. But still, she kept at it. She boosted into a trail of golden rings that led her straight into another KFC. She collided with the building.

Dazed and aching with pain, Dora lay there for a while. For some reason no one seemed to notice her. After a few hours, she regained her senses and entered the KFC. " Okay, this time, nothing bad is going to happen." She assured herself.
