After all, he is a Prince, and arranged marriages are common between royalty.

However, during his fifteenth birthday party, he heard a lot of rumors.

Many people described his soon-to-be fiancee as ugly and as fat as a freaking pig.

Some nobles were even spitting venom nonstop through the event.

At the end of the day, his closest friends, Nicholas and Tennyson, pitied him.

Both were the sons of the Duke of Westmin and the Duke of Bereins. 

Since their childhood, they were inseparable.

The three of them were also known for their looks and their individual talents.

Many mainly ladies admired them from afar.

After his fifteenth birthday party, Prince Helios influenced by the rumors decided :

I will cancel this engagement one way or another.

Since then, he would play around with nobles women, or even maids.

At an early age, he embodied his power towards women.

Because of his unparalleled beauty, many of them were trying to catch his interest.

He would flirt with them and make them believe that they are the only ones in his life.

After that, he would lovingly embrace them and throw them away like dirt.

This masquerade lasted until his encounter with Miss Irina Yuste when he was sixteen.

She was the daughter of Duke's Yuste, the most powerful man after his father.

Irina was referred to as 'a peerless beauty.'

Her long black hair paired with her green eyes enchanted more than one.

Helios became more and more intrigued by her over the years.

She was three years older than him and already married.

Her husband was an old man who has one foot in the grave.

She never tried to approach him despite his attempts.

At some point, she was even annoyed with him.

But,  she finally gave in not too long ago.

Since then, Irina and he get to know one another more intimately.

She was known in their social circle as a ' dignified lady.'

But Helios knows more than anyone that she is far from being 'pure.'

Slowly, she became a big part of his teenage years.

 She was there for him through thick and thin.

Slowly but surely, he fell in love with her.

I was hers since this particular night, where Irina and I became one.

Unfortunately for him, she was already married.

Furthermore, his mother was against his relation with her.

Both mother and son were in a tense situation since then.

" I will never accept your relation with this snake. " calmly said his mother.

The Emperor stays silent, he doesn't want to be involved in their bickering again.

" She is not a snake! Her name is Irina!" shouted Helios furiously.

"You are manipulated by her! She does not love you at all!"

" Liar! One day, she will be my wife!"

"ENOUGH!" shouted the Emperor.

"I already choose the perfect person as your future wife."

"I never will accept this. Do you hate me that much, Father?"

"Why would you say that?!"

The Emperor was stupefied by his son's reaction.

He chose the perfect daughter-in-law and fiancee for his one and only child.

Never would he choose someone below his son's standing.

"Everyone knows that my soon-to-be fiancee is as ugly and as fat as a freaking pig."

"What is this nonsense? Where did you hear that?"

"All the nobles here criticized her. Some are even afraid of her."

"Impossible! Nobody could have seen her! Her father would never let it happen-"

"Why, because she is so ugly? WHATEVER! I already love Irina."

"This is not loving. You are only fascinated by Irina. That is all!"

"I hate you, dear mother."

The Empress was left speechless.

Her son was for the first time against her.

He didn't believe her judgment.

He even doubts his own parents.

This damn woman really messed up with my little baby.

The Empress could not take it anymore and run out of the room.

Helios feels guilty about his attitude.

He knows better than anyone that his parents love him the most.

"You went too far, my son." coldly stated his father.

The latter also exited the room to search for his wife.
