Wrapped in sheets
Stained with sweat and wet
Lost in layers and layers
Circulating my trembling figure.
Twisted, comforting
Hair knotted from salty waves
Eyes swollen as if sun kissed for too long.
Nose dripping
Elegantly, as a reaction to the recent tsunami.
She was there,
My angel in disguise.
Catching each drop,
Smoothing my beast of a hair,
Taming the heavy breathing,
In fear I might choke.
She was always there,
My angel.
Saying everything's okay. I believe in you.
My angel,
My mother.
