a refreshing breezy air blew into the room, swiftly brushing past the thin white curtains and reaching her skin. it was evening and the sky darkened, giving a grey and down lifting mood to the night. in her black oversized hoodie and shorts, she shivered as she felt the breeze hit her skin, seeing a trail of goosebumps down her leg.

she removed her headphones, turning around slowly as she sat in her chair, a brightly lit screen in front of her as her favourite kdrama was playing in the background. the wind blew once again, swinging her curtains around as her balcony door that was wide open, shattered against the wall.

"oh, it's raining." she muttered softly, pushing herself out of her seat and walked towards the door.

the sky was already dark and only the dim street lamps, the brightly shining moon and her laptop brought light to the world. she sighed, watching as the raindrops made patterns on her balcony floor, as the raindrops slid off her plant leaves.

this moment familiarly reminded her of the day when she had lost the most important person to her in the world. and an agonising pain strikes her head again, shaking and trembling whilst clutching onto the door handle as she slid onto the floor.

tears brimmed at her eyes and she bit onto her lower lip as she replayed that memory for the tenth time that day.

she was broken. she never knew pain would last that long. and she knew she wouldn't find happiness again.

she had lost her brother.
