Happiness, Joy and Fear was what I saw in my mother's eyes after reading my acceptance letter to one of the wealthiest schools in the country, The Prosperity high school.
There was no doubt that I was happy, I was also neverous but this was the time to work hard and also our chance out of poverty and to gain back everything we lost, so I put my pride aside and start packing my bag because I'll be leaving in two days .
"Jayla I'll be fine hunny remember I have a job and I'll do better now knowing that you'll get a better education and make life better for us again thanks to that exam and God who made everything possible" she softly said ,
I smiled and kissed her on the cheek and went in the car and water started to flow out of my eyes because I already miss her but this is the one chance we got to make everything right.
Upon reaching the boarding school gate I stopped and stared for God knows how long because of the beauty that was in front of me , I walk slowly and suddenly bumped into a girl , she stood straight and said sorry then smile,
" hey I am new here could you show me the way to the office" I asked slowly and timidly
" come on, why not, by the way I am Faith" she said
"I am Jayla nice to meet you " we shook hands and started walking in the direction to the office, she was nice but a bit talkative but I can cope with a talkative person, up on reaching the office we said our good byes.
I nervously knock on the office door and heard a soft come in, "you must be Jayla mercy black, well I am your principal Mrs Linton and welcome to The prosperity high school, now these are your documents everythimg you need will be in there and i'll advise you to search for your room and start your classes tomorrow and enjoy you day love,"
" thank you" i said more than excited she laugh and then I exited the room and started walking to the boarding facilities using the maps that was attach to my documents .
Finally reaching the block and finding my room i stood and gasp because this was more of a hotel suite than a boarding room at a school, I quickly went in the bath room there were two rooms and one bathroom I went to my room lay down and start thinking of what my life was younger and I drifted into a deep sleep after thanking God.
