Thunder and Lightning

In the night sky, lightning was dancing
It's freedom striking every pose a man could ever try
Dancing to the music the thunder sings
A beautiful pair with a deadly battle cry

It wakes everyone, the young and the old
Signalling it's wake from heaven's high sky
A light show that adds fear to the bold
Knowing the dangers flying high and nigh

Children covers their ears as the Thunder deafens
Shutting their eyes as the Lightning blinds
Hide little children, mother Earth is cross
As parents fools you from lullabies left behind

As for the old, a flinch is enough
For they've seen these pair blazing the night sky
A blink of an eye and a single huff
Are enough to show a child to be bold and not to cry

But don't be fooled by this pair of fear
As it looms above us summoning death to few
Growing yet more afraid as it moves near
Hoping it's next victim to strike isn't you

And yet again, I see the dancing duo in the dark
Where I know I'm safe yet it gives me a fright
Well, not anymore when I woke to a world so real
Where that I had to know that death is  the common seal
