pounding of hearts
entwined like the
heartbreak of people
that cannot get along
silence ensues as she
walks along the halls
back to her classroom
to resume with lessons
and, all of a sudden,
she feels lonely - like
a sailor lost at sea -
for it seems to be that
she will never be asked
for a favour ever again.
