Tere Liye

She cupped his face and looked deep into his eyes. He also helped her to latch their eyes into an eye-lock. Lots of feeling was exchanged through their eyes.

Thoda ro lijiye, Aditya! Dil ko thhandak milegi.. She gave a painful smile to him.

Mein kyu rou bhala? He asked her looking everywhere but not her.

Aditya… She called him again when he couldn’t help but broke down into her embrace. He kept his face on the crook of her neck and started weeping badly.

Zoya! Humesha mere sath hi aisa kyu hota hai? Kya galti kiya meine? Meine toh sirf pyaar hi kiya na? Isme konsa paap hai? Pehle ma papa chodke chale gaye mujhe iss duniya me akela chodke.. Baadme unki aakhri wish ki mutabik Pooja se shadi kiya.. Pehle uss shadi ko nehi manta tha.. Lekin jab socha ki iss shadi ko ek chance dunga tab woh apne bf ke sath bhag gayi… Aur ab tum.. Kya galti hai mere? Sirf pyaar karna? Agar ye meri galti hai toh bhagwan ne mujhe dil hi kyu diya jo ab sirf tumhare liye dharakta hai? Aur kyu ab mujhse mere jeene ke wajah hi chheen rahe hai?  Kyu bhagwan ko meri khushi dekhi nehi jaati? Bolo na kyu? Aditya started weeping more badly wetting Zoya's dress.. She was also having a tough time to control her sobs after seeing his broken state.
She broke the hug and cupped his face lovingly.

Apna dhyan rakhiyega Aditya. Aur humesha yaad rakhoyega hum apko pehle bhi pyaar karte the, ab bhi karte hain aur humesha karte rahunge.. Bass, iss janam me humara Milan nehi hopayega… She said with a broken voice.. A lone tear rolled down from her eyes.

Zoya! Kya mein tumhe ek akhri baar kiss karsakta hu? Aditya pleaded to her with teary eyes showing his one finger just like a kid who was asking his mother to give him one last chocolate.
She didn’t say anything, just closed her eyes in acceptance.

He cupped her face slowly with his shaking hands. Her eyes were closed. He looked at her face which still has tear stains. Her beautiful eyes, plumby lips, red nose were attracting him more which he was going to notice for last time. He slowly put his lips on her.

They both were kissing like there was no tomorrow. Actually yes! There was no tomorrow of their togetherness. Their tears smashed, so did their bodies. Both were breathless. But no one wanted to leave each other. Because, it was their last time. And they wanted to ravish each moments of their togetherness.

They broke their kiss and look at each other’s eyes which held only agony and pain. Their hearts were beating rapidly as it was the time, time of their separation. But they were not ready at all.

Both took their hands and wipe each other’s tears. They didn’t break their eye lock. Words were passing to each other through their eyes. They didn’t need any sound or something else to express their heart out. Silence was enough for them.

She kept her head on his chest. He started caressing her hairs a bit. Their eyes were wide open. But heart? It was already fast asleep for ever on the thought of leaving each other. It stopped beating as they were about to separate. For the last time, they both were hearing each other’s heart beat which was helping them to calm a bit.

They both broke the hug. Both of their hearts were heavy. But it was the time.

They both stood up and started walking to start a new life without each other, without any happiness. They wanted to run away but they couldn’t. They both were reminding their golden days.
…..
Suddenly a truck came with great speed and ran up to him. His lifeless body fell on road into a pull of blood.

She shouted his name and ran to him.
Aditya… Aditya… Ankhen kholiye apna, Aditya! She sat on road and placed his head on her lap.

He opened his eyes with great difficulty and smiled weakly.

Dekha.. Bhagwan bhi jante hai ki mein tumhari bina jee nehi paunga.. Isliye toh mujhe itni asan maut dediya.. He caressed her cheeks slowly.

Nehi.. Aisa maat kahiye aap.. Agar apko kuch hogaya toh kaise jee payenge hum? Apko hum kuch nehi hone dunge… Her voice was shaking. Tears were continuously rolling down from her eyes.

Nehi na.. Agar mein chala jaunga toh hi tum apni neyi zindegi acchi tarha se shuru karpaogi.. But itna yaad rakhna.. I love you more than anyone in this whole world. His voice was dropping because of his weakness, so was his eyes.

Aditya.. Aap aisa…. She wanted to start but stopped by him.

I love you ka reply nehi doge? He asked with a weak smile.

She looked at him with teary eyes.
I love you too.. She replied with a chocking voice.
And that was it. He left this world. And she couldn’t help but stare his lifeless body with no emotion.

After 5 years

She walked into the same garden where they last met with a baby girl of 4 years. It was also the place where his body was buried.
She sat beside his burial. That cute kid also did the same. The 4 years old had no idea that why her mum came here and what was happening. She was just busy having her ice-cream.

Pata hai Aditya, apke jaane ke baad hum toot gaye the.. Humare paas jeene ki koi wajah nehi tha.. Par aap jaate jaate woh wajah bhi chod diya… Adiya…. {Looking at that kid}…. Pata hai, ye na bilkul ap pe gayi hai… Sabkuch apke jaise… Humari koi bhi habit nehi hai inme.. [She chuckled] Aur toh aur, hum kabhi roye na.. Toh inhe woh bilkul bhi bardash nehi hota…. (She smiled)… But I miss you… Kyu chodgaye aap hume?  //Her voice was heavy now//

She put her head on the burial slowly and started caressing the burial slowly imagining it as him. She closed her eyes to feel him near her. Tears rolled down from her beautiful eyes, those eyes which were loved by him the most.

Suddenly wind started blowing heavily. She looked up and saw a blur figure coming towards her. After sometime she noticed, it was him. A smile was adorning on his face. She stood up slowly.

He came near her. She couldn’t believe it was him. She was touching and kissing all over his face just to assure that it was really him. He looked at her face. She also looked at him. There was pain in her eyes whereas love was there into his eyes. He wiped her tears slowly with his thumb finger and with great love and affection kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes to feel that kiss..

They separated themselves from each other and smiled at each other. She kissed his cheeks like a kid whose mother bought her favorite toy for her. They both hugged each other lovingly.

He broke the hug and started going. She wanted to stop him. But he just vanished with a beautiful and heart-warming smile on his face. Later, her face also lit up with a big smile.
….
True love doesn’t mean being inseparable; it means being separated and nothing changes. Because true love never dies, it only gets stronger with time.
