Nothing better than straight A's my mother would always tell me. Hey my name is Addison Collins I am 16 years old and this is roughly the 4th school I have been to in a lifetime. Your probably like "Addison that isn't that bad". But for me let me just say I haven't had a friend since I was seven after my third move why would I even try.

I am kind of shy so I'm usually doing homework or I have my nose stuck in a book. I like my little safe zone I am familiar with it and for someone who is always moving, let's just say it's nice. Mom, just got transferred again mom is a neurologist. A neurologist treats disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. She gets transferred a lot. My dad passed when I was younger so it's just been my mom and I. Being a child of a doctor can get lonely.

Mom ensures me this is our last stop to a forever home. I'm not holding my breath or unpacking the boxes just yet. I am familiar with this talk and I know it won't last. But if I do hold my breath and pass out at least my mom is a doctor, right?

North Carolina is nice so far. I mean coming from New York City is definitely a change. Now I can get stuck with my nose in a book on the beach instead of inside. I start at North High School tomorrow where I will becoming in half of the school year. After this year I just have senior year and I can finally stay at a college and not have to worry about moving.

After checking my bag to make sure everything is settled and that I have sharpened pencils fresh ready to go. I jump into bed not too nervous about starting at North High just because I'll probably only be there no more than a year. I take off the loads of boxes off my bed and think of North high before losing myself in a dream.
