Something Doesn't Add Up.

I quickly got up, turned off all the lights and locked everything. I ran to my room and called my boss Director Deluca, I knew I could trust him. When he picked up I read him the letter which said "Hello Claire, you don't know who I am, but I know all about you. You need to stay away from the Brair Case, and if you need some encouragement...do I need to involve Kyra?  Sincerely -B-
I asked him what he thought I should do. He said I should do what I thought was best, which in all honesty did not help me. He then said he values my safety a lot, which meant he though I should withdrawal myself from the case, but that went against everything I believed in and stood for. I made the life altering choice to continue on the case just secretively.
Those girls needed me, I wasn't about to just let them go with justice. We hung up, I didn't sleep that whole night. I was at work bright and early, I brought Grace with me, she was the new probie. We drove all the way to Flordia, which was a long drive since we were driving from Ohio, but it gave time to think about the crime scene. I have a identic memory, so I remembered everything from the scene. When I recalled it, I noticed some things were...out of place. The door was locked from the inside, we had to kick the door open to get inside, but if it was locked from the inside how did the killer get inside? I couldn't think of how so I put that question on hold, and continued on through the crime scene.
Only one of them was fully naked, Diamond. Amber was still half dressed, but why was that? There was no sign of sexual assault so what's the point? Humiliation? Maybe...I thought to myself.
By the time I snapped out if my own thoughts we were at the first house. The house of Mr. And Mrs. Briar, Diamond's parents. The father's name was Mike and the Mother's name was Angelica....they were the first suspect. I remember thinking it was ironic that Angelica wasn't much of an Angel, I would rather go to Hell than deal with her again. The mother kept saying that her daughter deserved what she got and the her wife Amber was bad for her and made her sin against God and all this other crap. She said that she wasn't going to give her daughter a proper funeral because she didn't derserves one. The father at the time from what I could tell seemed to have a bit more grief in his brain. He appeared to actually care about what happened to his daughter. Almost like the homophobic side was an act to please the wife. Then it was time to ask the real questions, like where they were the night of the murder, and if they knew of any enemies, things like that.
When I asked where they were the night of the murder they both said at home with each other, which is an alibi but not one that couldnt be broken. I asked if she had an enemies they said she had many people who didn't like her but the only ones that stood out were a guy and girl. A guy named Davis Willow and a girl named Saige Hart. They didn't elaborate further on that which means I had more work to do. I asked what Diamond did for a living, Angelica said Diamond was a college student, studying to become a Surgeon. I thought that was pretty amazing but Angelica just scoffed. I asked one more question before I left which was did they kill their daughter, Diamond. Mike, the father said No and looked genuinely mortified by the question. Angelica laughed and said no but that she hopes we find the killer so she can send flowers. With that in mind, I left.
