Just before time ever existed
What is now two was once one
No one knows why they happened to part
Things just can't be undone
Bellows from out of oblivion
Crying out for twisted pain
They come from the heart of the moon
At the dark time as it wanes
Some hide under beds, all in shadows
Some content to hear you scream
Others want more than just screaming
And found the power of dreams
Under your bed, they grab at you feet
With their cold clammy talons
The shadows drive shivers up your back
Like the creaking of wagons
You just can't seem to ever lose them
These spiteful demons of the night
So check under your beds
And tie you closets shut
Once one of these demons makes it's home
You are stuck with them until you die.
